The teepee was great, lovely heater . . . It hit freezing point! Nice that there was a fridge too! REALLY soft comfy bed, I loved it. I had a great night sleep! Very clean.

When I arrived (I'd been driving for 8 hours), I entered and said 'hi! Is this where I check in?' Alice didn't greet me or show any warmth, she immediately said "yes, credit card and ID" I was like "erm . . Ok . . . " That was a terrible first impression, put a damper on the stay. There were various lights to light the way to the restrooms (and in the restrooms) at night but they weren't turned on, which wasn't cool. There was also nowhere to put your clothes.

since there is not alot of places to stay 1/2 way between s. Tahoe and San diego, we decided to stay here at Olancha RV Park. They allow Pets to stay in TeePees or remodeled mobile homes or Rvs on site. You can also come with RV/camper or tent and stay. Beautifully and humbly decorated inside the 1 bdrm /kitchenette/FBath. This place is great! with restaurant beer/wine and homemade food at reasonable prices. breakfast lunch and dinner. The woman who runs it is phenomenal! I watched her get people in and cook dinner for 8 people all at once and serve it with a smile. The grounds are desert and mountain views, quiet and 395 was an amazingly smoothe and beautiful drive.

campground is a work in progress, don't turn away because of that, you will miss the uniqueness of glamping!

Teepees were so cool! Great views all around. Pet friendly! We had cats, they did require a pet deposit. Heather at the front was amazingly accommodating, friendly, and helpful. When I called ahead to warn of a super late arrival she said no problem, we'll leave an info envelope or for you to grab.. Very cute. Tidy and pretty clean for a teepee

We did unfortunately get a teepee that was a little older and wasn't flush to the deck it was on around the bottom, so we had to do some plugging of holes with our stuff to prevent potential escape of our cats. A little dusty...but it's a teepee so that's to be expected, overall quite clean! Tricky to find the front desk in the dark (we got in extremely late).

Charming old west feel to the welcoming cafe and guest check-in. Fantastic stone fireplace. We would have eaten there if we did not have plans in nearby Lone Pine with friends. Our clerk was friendly and super informative. Our queen guest room was comfortable, newly built or remodeled, very private and quiet. We never heard another soul. Big plus was the gorgeous view of the snow-capped Eastern Sierras right from our room. A winner.

Surroundings were beautiful! Truly! And staff were super friendly and nice. The heaters in the beds in the tipi worked great and we had a great nights sleep even if the tent was a bit cold when we arrived. The food in the cafe was great and restrooms and showers clean! A very nice place to stay on your way to see Alabama hills / mammoth / Death Valley.

Maybe we could’ve gotten som help to pre-heat the tipi before we arrived. But it got warm fast!

Family 10 home, which we received was new or renovated. It has salon with a fully equipped kitchen and two bad rooms, one of them we are not used. The location was perfect, between Fossil Dry falls and Mount Whitney. The pool with clean and cold water was perfect.

The cottage was clean and cool. Two separate bedrooms was great to have. And the kitchen was nice and big, with a big fridge and full stove. Nice to be able to cook a meal after a long time on the road! Oh and the pool was very refreshing!

The laundromat was a bit disappointing. I didn't want to use it...

Great staff -good recommendation of local places and also lit a fire for me at night, great warm tipi huts, clean bathrooms (maybe because no other occupants).

No headboards on beds made for an uncomfortable night. Housekeeping (young kid) was very loud outside and yelled housekeeping and barged in the tipi in the morning waking me up. He apologized, he thought the tipi was empty. Then it was quiet again outside.

The Tipi was very nice, bed was comfortable and it had a mini fridge, fans and blankets. We could park the car next to our Tipi, which was very convenient. Toilets and showers were shared but clean and well taken care of.

Make sure you bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper!
