Being that Lone Pine is a small town, the motel’s location is within convenient vicinity to restaurants and the market. The complex looked to be maintained and clean as were the rooms. The carpet and mattress seemed to be fresh, the mattress was firm with good support. The in-room refrigerator and microwave is a big plus. Surprisingly, the room had ample/good lighting, which was very pleasing. Although the motel has a pool and laundry, we did not use them.
Upgrade the bath towels as they were very thin and uncomfortable.

This is a small motel. It has been remodeled and the rooms are very clean, feeling "fresh" and new. The owner was very pleasant and friendly. The outward appearance of the facility and grounds were also very clean. The price was very reasonable. We paid $135 for a single, Friday night stay, with one king sized bed. We would stay there again, but try to get there earlier for a better parking spot.
The only drawback to the property was the parking is very limited. If you don't get there early, you can end up parked on the side of the motel, away from your room. I don't believe this is something they can fix as the size of the property itself is small.

Everything was great. The bed was more comfortable than I expected, and the shower was very refreshing after coming inside from the hot day. Location was fantastic. Being able to walk to the western film museum and also walk to the McDonald's for coffee in the morning was a perk. The pool looked great, though we didn't manage to make it in.
The only complaint was that, possibly, the lady who checked us in was sick. She coughed and cleared her throat multiple times during check-in, but she did not cover her mouth nor was she wearing a mask. That feels like basic common courtesy at this point.

This is not a luxury hotel and should not be rated as such. It is an old style motel and in that criteria I had no complaints. The key thing was that my room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the place felt clean. There were not any real amenities to the property but I was not looking for that. I checked in late and the staff was quite nice. As to be expected, the decor is older and put together by a color blind decorator but that really does not matter in a motel in this class. I would stay there again.
The parking lot is pretty tight and the rooms are dark. But, overall I think I got what I expected and was happy enough.

Our family room was basic but clean accommodation with on site parking, laundry facilities and a pool, and walking distance to a shop, cafes and restaurants - perfect for an overnight stay on our road trip.
The reception staff were efficient but not the most friendly or welcoming!

I have stayed there a few times before, so there were no surprises, but the room was comfortable and met my needs for the overnight stay. I love where it is located, close to the Alabama Hills which I wanted to explore again as a photographer and birder. I always appreciate the fridge and microwave--as an outdoor explorer, I need to bring food for the trip.
No problems.

Reliable basics for the best price. Bedding and towels were nice and soft, comfortable. Heater worked well … it was cold! 🥶
Toilet was. Issuing the flush handle 😳. Literally had to take off the lid to flush it. Only 1 packet of coffee provided. Typical most places is 2 regular and 2 decalf.

The room was in the back and far away from the street. I liked the quiet. The room was small but well thought out. The bed was comfortable, there was just enough lights in the room. It had a TV , an end table a chair, small refrigerator, Microwave, shower/ bathtub, Vanity and even a place for your cloths. It was very clean.
The owners/administrators were cold and aloof. They were not going to win a popularity contest. All business.

The hotel is right on the Main Street of Lone Pine. It’s maybe a half mile from Whitney Portal Drive and once the road is open, you can make it into the Alabama Hills in about 10 min. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were clean and everything appeared well kept. The drive to Death Valley is close and it’s about 2.5 hrs from Furnace Creek.
Parking lot is a little small, but parking is available right on the street. Only a minor inconvenience.

Nicely updated motor lodge. Clean with good choices of furnishing. We knew there was no breakfast so we splurged at the excellent Alabama Hills Bakery up the street. There is a fridge/microwave/coffee in room. My kids enjoyed a cold dip in the pool. A/C worked well. Friendly helpful staff. I mistakenly made 2 reservations, one online and one by phone. The desk clerk called back to confirm my intentions and sorted everything out.
Parking was tight. Get there early.
