I truly enjoyed my time at this motel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. The wooden rooms are absolutely beautiful and have a romantic charm. The beds were clean, cozy, and everything in the room was in perfect order. Additionally, there’s plenty of parking space available, which made my stay even more convenient. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

It's a very nice, quiet motel with knotty pine interiors, a nice bathroom and shower/bath, and is dog friendly. It's within walking distance of what Walker, CA has to offer and a short drive to other destinations (Topaz Lake, Topaz Lake Lodge and Casino, and some very scenic drives and hikes). And for us, it was very quiet and I didn't hear a single fireworks boom over the last several years that I have been going here over the Independence Day holiday. Getting away from the noise of the Independence Day holiday was our goal for our dog and Walker, CA always delivers.

I had an amazing stay at Toiyabe motel The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was so comfortable, and I slept great. The staff, especially Nick at the front desk, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I also appreciated the easy parking and convenient location. I highly recommend this motel and will definitely be back.

We were stranded in snow and this was a last min find for a family of 3 for one night. Room was surprisingly well stocked up for a motel. They had shampoo, soap, fridge, microwave, hot water, heaters, and a general store one minute drive away

Toilet was making some noise and we had to turn off the water source at night to avoid it.

I had a great experience at the motel, especially after such a long and tiring journey. Finding a clean, warm, and comfortable place to rest after hours of travel can make all the difference. The reasonable price is definitely a bonus! It’s always a relief to discover a spot you’d happily return to. highly recommended.... 😊

Nice warm welcome and a lovely cute establishment in a beautiful environment. If you're after a motel with something a bit cute and quaint this place ticks the boxes.

The one thing to bear in mind however is that this motel is in a large region where the availability of food is VERY limited (unless you want to live on gas station snacks). If you're out of season, plan ahead (which we didn't - leaving me and my 3 kids without dinner or breakfast). You won't find anything en route (apart from a casino) either so DO take picnic or other foods with you.

The room was super clean and well arranged. Bathroom was excellent, new fixtures in the shower and worked perfectly. Clean towels galore. The rooms (I booked 3 for my group) were all similar in excellence. The motel rooms look restored to its glory days and I enjoy the classic (some would say retro) style. The bed was modern and comfortable with no sag on either side. Checking in was easy and the wife and husband team were so helpful and friendly. A pleasant stay for sure and I will be returning!

The location is convenient and serves the purpose of our road trip. The room is clean and equipped with all the basic amenities that you would find in the bigger hotel chains.

The room was a bit small with two queen-sized beds. Also, the front desk should consider extending the hours until, maybe, around midnight, which can be better for some travelers, especially since cell phone service can be very unrealizable in that part of California.

Hotel is right off the freeway and easy to access. The staff was able to accomodate my late check in which I was extremely happy about. They also gave me a heads up that the businesses close early so I was able to plan ahead.

This isn't about that hotel itself but the local businesses do close early and I came in later at night. So, if you are coming in at night plan ahead so you don't arrive hungry or needing to buy something.

Owner couple is the most amazing people you'll meet! They are extremely accommodating to my family and new born daughter with open arms.... The room was very comfortable with a sweet full size bathroom and spacious layout... The center area of the motel has a nice water fountain and zen seating for outdoor sitting... Lights for nite time... And useful bbq, smoker, or grill available for use... Ice machine that was functional... Checking in and out was quick with zero complications... Most definitely recommending for anyone to try this location first! We plan on going back the next season of opening!
