We loved the location! Everything was tidy and it was very quiet in the night! We loved having a (nearly full) kitchen to prepare snacks and meals! They even had smoothie makers!

We would've loved if some necessities like sponges, dish soap, coffee, coffee filters, salt, vinegar, oil, ... are automatically stocked (not only leftovers from the people before). I would also be willing to pay a bit more for that! It's hard to get everything you want if you only spend a week there since American groceries always sell in huge packaging.

We got a studio downstairs and it was fantastic. The apartment was very clean and well equipped to cook a quick meal after coming back from a long day out. Nothing was missing in kitchen and bathroom, you don’t really need to bring anything with you if you do not want. The location is good, close to few beaches and to several restaurants and shop, half an hour driving from the airport. The parking space is nice and is very needed. I would for sure come back here.

Is not related to the place itself but is a general “issue” in Maui. There are many feral chickens who make a lot of noise in the early morning. If people are sensitive to noise they may consider to bring some ear protections.

Very good place if you're looking to avoid staying in resorts and very touristy areas. The town of Haiku is cute, very centrally located on the island. The apartment is a short drive or 30 min walk to grocery store, cafes, restaurants. The apartment is pretty comfy and clean (thin walls so if you're a light sleeper you might hear some noise). Great value for money. The owner provides access to some beach equipment which was also really nice.

The only downside is to walk places you have to walk along the state highway. There's a shoulder so it's not completely unsafe but just take note!

The location was awesome, very private and safe. Great communication via email with the owner / caretaker. Apartment was fully stocked with kitchenware, cooking ingredients and paper towel.

All the clean towels had a bad odor, mildew-like, which left a stinky-sticky feeling on my body. The liquid body soap dispenser didn't work well...little to no soap came out. The shower curtain rod was placed above the border of the shower floor, we eventually moved the curtain rod lower to prevent the floor from getting wet.

Wonderful spacious studio for 2 people. Could easily have fit another. Liked the extra futon couch. Nice big bathroom. Nice size dining table with 4 chairs. Decent studio style cooking facilities and stainless pots/pans. Place was clean, all bedding was clean, place had broom and towels and sponges. Big enough apartment style building so that other guests seemed adequately separate. Decent amount of space to dry wet towels/water gear. Internet was decent. Hosts were very responsive to questions that I texted. Closets and rack for luggage. Some beach gear in garage, like flippers, goggles, a few boogie boards, beach chairs. Quiet residential neighborhood

Very minor, The fridge didn't seem to always keep stuff cold, but happy to have a fridge with separate freezer and the freezer worked, so could make ice for drinks. Bed was a little squishy but not atypical. It took a bit to figure the fan remote and TV remote, but they worked fine. We used our own streaming service, not sure what TV service is included. Par for the course in most of Haiku, there aren't sidewalks, so be careful walking at night, or drive at night. The upstairs unit gets warm in the sun (obvious), so keep the fans running. All very minor.

We loved the location! It was off the road to hana and really close to paia beach town. It was perfect for our needs. There was a driveway with parking, so we didn't have to park on the street. We used the beach towels in the rental. We loved all the open windows and fresh air. The overhangs were oversized and didn't let in any rain, so even when it rained we could have the windows open.

We couldn't figure out the fans in either room. The fan or light would randomly turn on or turn off or wouldn't turn on or turn off. Not sure if there was a trick.

Everything! The owners went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable, and were readily available. We wanted to see all areas of the island and the location was the most central for this purpose. It was reasonable cost, clean and ample space with easy parking. I would definitely stay there again if I returned to Maui.

Haiku is a central location to reach the beaches in South Maui and West Maui, only about 25 minutes from the airport, and already on the start of the road to Hana to allow an early start. It is also a little closer to the Haleakala summit than most of the resort areas. Haiku is outside the main tourist areas but still has a few restaurants and a nice store, and Paia isn't too much further.

The location was good. A bit far from the main beaches on the west side, but central to everywhere else including Road to Hana. Unit is nice. Bathroom is big and clean. Bed is reasonably comfortable, which was surprising! Also, parking was really just outside the unit. They also had beach chairs/umbrellas you could borrow which was such a nice touch and very helpful!

We didn't have any hand soap in our kitchen and bathroom nor did we get any body soap. We were also given only one extra roll of toilet paper so we had to ask for both of those. It took a full day to get those items, but glad we got them! Also wish the kitchen had scissors and the bedroom had some sort of dresser. We took the bins out of the night table and living room cupboard but wish we had more places to unpack our stuff so we didn't have to live out of our suitcase the whole time.

The place was comfortable and well supplied. It was not hard to find and the facilities worked well. Communication was also good.

Unless we failed to understand the utilities, there was not a great way to keep the bedroom cool. I did not find any AC to utilize. The bedroom was a bit warm throughout the night.
