The location was excellent. The hotel is in a very walkable area, and you DO NOT need to rent a car. Food, shopping, entertainment, and the beach are all within walking distance, with lots of options to choose from. The staff (and the people in general) are extremely nice and friendly. The hotel offers nice amenities, including bottled water, free scoops of ice cream daily, and even has DVD access similar to Redbox. They have Hawaiian singers and hula dancers every Friday night which is nice, and in a prime spot for the Friday night fireworks. The hotel is busy with guests leaving and new guests coming in throughout the day, but it never felt crowded. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The ocean view room is a "must" if you want to wake up to some of the most fantastic views ever. The full kitchen was also a plus, as we were able to purchase items at the grocery store and save on eating out for every meal. The hotel is in a very safe and walkable area both day and night. Another nice added touch is the availability of laundry machines on each floor ($3.00 each). This is a very nice convenience for guests like myself who like to take clean clothes home, or for those who want to pack light.

The hotel offers beach towels for guests, but do not have beach chairs and umbrellas available for use. The hotel is in a calmer area of Waikiki Beach, and you can either purchase a beach chair from the local Walmart (which would not make sense) or rent two chairs w/umbrella for $100.00 for a full day from a beach vendor (which is absurd). Illikai should really reconsider this, as guests come to their location to enjoy the beach, and are paying thousands of dollars to do so. So, give them a beach chair /umbrella to use. That's my only issue with the hotel.

The hotel was clean, and although i onky stayed one night, it would have been perfect for a longer stay since it includes a kitchen. The bathroom and bed were also clean and comfortable. There are plenty of options like swimming pool, coffee shop, resto, spa and ect..

They hold a 250 USD security deposit even it was not stated in the booking, 100 would be fine but i think its a bit much, instead using it for shopping it was hold but its fine. For european traveler like me, you should bring your addaptor because they do not lend it because they dont have it, they dont even knows where to buy it. Luckily there are ABC store near by and its affordable.

The view from our balcony, spacious unit, from the entire unit to the size of the balcony

When my husband & I were walking around almost midnight back to the hotel, by the stoplight (side of Hilton Hawaiian), we were approached by 3 men w/ questionable personalities. They were asking/borrowing our cellphones which of course we said no to. They seemed to be drunk men. It was scary experience

We had a fabulous stay at the Ilikai! The rooms and layout were spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location- walking distance to everywhere. Left from the entrance leads you to the park and the Ala Moana Mall. Right from the entrance leads you to Waikiki Beach and shops. You can enjoy walks both in the park and on the beach across from the hotel. A block across the boulevard has ‘The Food Pantry’ where you can get provisions. The hotel staff are very accommodating. You are given a free water and Dave’s ice cream daily! We had a room on the 25th floor with spectacular views. There are fireworks every Friday night from the Hilton that you can see if you are on the water side. We liked that we were able to leave our suitcases with the bellman after check out as we had a late flight. We highly recommend the Ilikai and would stay there again!

Two outdoor pools, one on the second floor and a deep pool just off the restaurant area. Neither pool allows balls or jumping into the pool. Front desk staff are amazing. The outdoor restaurant is worth a few visits and Dave's Ice Cream can't be beat. We had laundry on our floor but not in our suite. You can easily see Friday night Waikiki fireworks from the lagoon. We watched from the fence (perfect vantage point).

Elevators were a bit scary. The people above us kept smoking pot (even though smoking was not allowed) and we could smell it clearly in our room and the living area, we reported it but security didn't do anything about it. Also, the pool staff were incredibly rude.

Low key and convenient. Lacked the craziness of the all the tourists waiting in line next door at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for food and chaises. Walking distance to the best mall in America, Ala Moana.

Elevator wait during prime hours could be long and there was no air in the elevators.

Room size, bathroom size, full kitchen, comfortable bed, large patio, great view (ocean). Pesca at the top of Ilikai is great. Amazing views.

The room as a whole was pretty clean. Bathroom and kitchen spotless, but the furniture could use some additional cleaning and/or updating. Upgrade on electronics (internet enabled tv) would be nice, but not a deal breaker.

The staff was friendly. Our room had an amazing view (we got a free upgrade from partial ocean view to full ocean view) and was spacious. The kitchen was fully laid out with a full-size fridge and oven/hob, microwave, pots and pans (even a rice cooker), crockery and cutlery. Air conditioning was spot on. Free beach towels, water and ice cream on hotel property.

Elevators were rather old and slow. The water pressure in the shower was lacking a little. The only parking option was valet parking, however behind the building at the marina, metered parking is available. One of our balcony chairs was missing a cushion.

I spent ages trying to find somewhere to stay that was nice, not over-priced, had good kitchen facilities, and was close to the town centre so I could walk to the conference I was attending. I was extremely happy with Ilikai. The room was fantastic, and I loved having a full kitchen so I didn’t have to eat out all the time. The hotel was really well-run. Shout-out to the reception staff who were always friendly and cheery despite having to look after so many guests - and repeat the same detailed information to each guest at check-in. I booked a sunset view room and I loved sitting on the balcony - overlooking the marina - and watching dragon-boats training and surfers & SUPs paddling out, before enjoying watching the sun set.

There was nothing to dislike. Absolutely fantastic hotel, and fantastic staff.

This hotel was kind enough to upgrade my room, and so I had the pleasure of getting the Ocean view room. It was an exceptional room, with an epic ocean view. It provided all the essentials you would need, a good bed, kitchenette, and a clean bathroom. The service of the hotel was great with pleasant staff and consistent maid service daily. The location is quite close to Waikiki main strip with a 10-15 min walk. The beach is quite close also with a 5min walk, and the hotel provides a beach towel service that comes with the room, which is a nice touch. The internet is fast also, which was very helpful. I would recommend as a solo traveler!

There isn't too much to comment on.
