Warm and wellcoming place. We felt there like being at home. Everything was absolutely clean, well equiped, with amazing ocean view and everyday changing sunset. We stayed there for 10 days, which was not quite enough to enjoy all the island. Next time a few more days will be a necessity, however we made many trips and every time on the way back we looked forward to this lovely hotel. Special thanks to the owners for arranging the trip to Honolulu and all the care they devoted to us. Hope to see you one day again, Katerina and Kvetoslav. Date of stay: May 2023

I loved the quiet and the view- so beautiful!! The room was clean and there was parking place. There was a pool, and chairs around it to sunbathe. The kitchenette was well equipped with refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, forks, knives, spoons, plates, glasses, kitchen towels, and cutting board... The owners was very nice and gave me a map and recommendations for the trip. The bed was so soft and cozy... and there was even another blanket in case anyone needed. There were 2 beach towels in addition to the body towels, and a hair dryer. All and all- pretty perfect!

Wifi wasn't all that good... maybe due to the place the hotel was... There was no closet, and no little safe with a lock.

The Kona Tiki Hotel is a gem, and such a find at a great price! Our ocean front room was perfect to watch the surf hit the lava rocks, surfers, sea life and amazing sunsets! The location is perfect, so close to downtown Kona, shopping, farmer's markets, etc.

Unfortunately there is no air conditioning in any rooms. While it states there is a sea breeze that keeps you cool, it was difficult for us to fall asleep easily as we were soooo hot in the room, the entire week long stay. We did not really acclimate to the heat and humidity as stated on the room details. The temps were mid to high 80s everyday, lows only in mid to high 70s, so no relief at night either. Although there was a fan in the room and a ceiling fan, I would consider adding small compact AC units to some rooms to offer. If there will be AC in the future, we will be back!

The location was premium and easy to get to several places to eat and close to the beach. The sound of the waves right outside the window is something that was so soothing and breathtaking. The rooms also have a microwave which I loved because I could heat up leftover food. This is something many traditional hotels do not have. Overall, it’s a really unique, beautiful and comfortable place to stay. It really made our trip to Kona memorable!

Unbeatable ocean view right outside our room. Updated decor. Very clean. Beach chairs available to borrow. Friendly and helpful staff/manager. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

We liked everything. However, counter space in the bathroom was a problem. We used the kitchen counter/island just outside the bathroom door for all of our toiletries/makeup, contacts, etc. Management might consider installing a shelf on the wall below the mirror, above the sink. This would be easy and inexpensive, and would make a huge difference.

Location is great! The entire facility was very clean and well cared for. The room was clean and comfortable. The view from our private balcony was awesome! The ocean is right below the balcony. Karen, the owner, is terrific!

Parking is very tight. I found it much easier to park along the road rather than the small lot on property. The building is very old, so don’t expect luxury. However they have done a great job refurbishing the place. Rooms are clean and very comfortable.

great location right on the water clean well equipped rooms with beach towels body board, fins etc available yo use at no cost *** Best of all property is run by 2 people who really care about their hosts . Michelle went above and beyond to take care of me and ensure that my stay was perfect. They really care about their guests. Treated better then at some 5 star resorts. I will be back.

Amazing location on the water, fell asleep to waves crashing on the shore. nothing better!

No curtains on the little windows made it very bright at night while trying to sleep. No “do not disturb” cards so housekeeping tried entering, thankfully the door was chained. I was asked to allow pest control in to spray,. I thought that was inappropriate to ask if a guest.

location is great, staff very friendly and helpful. room was great, amazing views. bed very comfortable. modern room. car park available.

I did not see that at the time of booking so this is my own fault, but the rooms only have fans no air conditioning. given it’s right by the water it’s a bit noisy sleeping with the door open and with the door closed it’s a bit too warm.

The views are incredible! Karen was so kind & the property was pristine. Loved the accessibility to anything we needed (beach chairs, boogie boards, binoculars).. great location & sunsets can’t be missed :) The room was decorated nicely & the bed was super cozy too!

Nothing!! Would have loved a hot plate to make eggs or something but having a grill & microwave/fridge was great.
