The hotel was renovated and earned the design award, a very nice boutique hotel. Good breakfast, nice staff, very clean, reasonable price, rooms' furniture is older compared to reception area, but beds are very comfy. Parking is behind the hotel, but for ten dollars, Street parking is free. Everywhere including the river and historical district, park and library, all in walking distance. The lobby area has a very pleasant ambiance. There is a mini fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine, iron and ironing table in the room. Rooms on the ground floor are easily accessible.

No hangers in the closet and not enough drawers to put stuff.

There was much about this hotel that impressed me: they even had a free wine happy hour at 4.30 pm (though I skipped it). The welcome was warm, and though the building wasn't particularly interesting I liked my room - good light for reading and a manageable air-con machine. Natchitoches is a small town and everything you could want (river and shopping colonnade with restaurants, basically) was within a few minutes walk. (Incidentally I had an excellent and reasonably-priced steak fajita at the Mexican Patio Cantina & Grill on my first night.)

Nothing really, though I found it odd that they had enclosed parking and charged for it. I took a gamble that auto theft wasn't a huge problem in Natchitoches and parked in the street - no problem.

Perfect location, easy walking around downtown. Staff was very friendly. Gated parking behind the building. So convenient to get around you won't need to take your car anywhere. Being a small family owned hotel is was great they did extra things to accommodate our group and have already booked for next year!

Only improvement I would suggest is, who is responsible for breakfast is to be ready on time and serves quality breakfast. I know its a lot to handle on their own but the meals were still good.

Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We were on level 1 and could use the stairs and elevator. The lighting in the room was excellent and the room was quiet. On our 3 week trip we have stayed at lots of properties and our stay here was spontaneous. It was a good choice and we would recommend it to others. The secure parking was an option we took as we were returning a rental car the next day. The parking was only $10 plus tax. We checked in around 7 pm and the door at the front was locked but the desk is staffed and they let you in. You have a code to enter at the rear if you go out and return later. The staff give good dining recommendations. Breakfast was complimentary.

We had nothing to complain about

Staff was extremely nice and helpful plus the location was within walking distance to everything we needed to see. Breakfast was good, Kept looking for the waffle iron, had syrup and butter out but no waffle's. The Staff really made the place enjoyable!

Floors in the bedroom could of used a dust mop and I'm accustom to having a top sheet on a bed, Not a Duvet for a bed spread. A Little disappointed that they charge you $10 per night to park in their gated parking lot.

Great location near restaurants and the river. Breakfast was great. Hot food and options. Gated parking felt a little more secure.

Things in general were older than the pictures made it look. The toilet seat flopped around. A crew was working on the plumbing when I arrived. Lots of banging and the hot water was turned off. For the price, I would have hoped for something a little more updated.

Staff is super friendly and go out of their way to please! Facilities are old but adequately maintained. Our room was small but had a good view (nice communal balcony out front). Breakfast is good, nothing special (scrambled eggs and sausage with the usual breads, fruits and cereals). The place has a friendly intimate feel. Normal room rate is a bit pricey. Great location.

Seems a bit pricey for what you get. We've stayed at suite cane and st denis... different experiences at each one but thought they were better values.

Lovely location. Very central. Clean. The staff on the desk was welcoming and informative. Breakfast was good.

Bed was a little small for my husband and I. The fridge made a noise so we had to unplug it at night. We could hear the morning staff and conversations from our room. But saying that I would stay again. But in a different room.

Location in historic Natchitoches with easy access to NSU and local historic and cultural sites. As a locally owned property it has local character. Clean and calm.

I had an Interior room with no window to exterior. The breakfast offering is a bit basic and the interior breakfast room with no windows is not cosy.

We loved the location of the hotel, we were able to walk everywhere. The town is fun, and places to eat were wonderful. There were several places offering delivery as well. We did go during a holiday weekend when the town had activities going on. It would be the perfect place to stay in December the town is all about Christmas and even though it was October they were putting lights up.

We would have loved a bathtub, the furniture was beautiful, the mattress was nice quality but too firm for us with older back issues. The staff was lovely, the hotel as well just the mattress for us.
