Check in was fine. We were given a room on the second floor so we needed to carry out luggage up the stairs. Our room had a foul musty oder. The bed and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The oder in the room and building. No offer to help with luggage and no elevator. It was fine for us. It was a low priced room and it served its purpose.

What we liked about our stay was everything. We were surprised that they actually called us early the day of our expected arrival to confirm our room. I had mistakenly booked a "smoking" room and they were able to change it to non-smoking over the phone. We were surprised at the size of the room, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room.

The breakfast was good for kids. I wish there had been more protein in the choices. The room was clean, bit the carpet smelled like they had put to much powdered freshener on it. But we enjoyed our stay. And will try and stay there next year when we come for the dog shows.

Exceeded expectations. Simple/ basic accommodations done right. The room was clean, everything was in working order, and we had a great night of rest. Staff was polite and responsive. Breakfast is simple (really just coffee and toast at this point; they'll get around to plugging their waffle machine in eventually). Don't bother complaining that there's no breakfast! Free coffee!

Mattress squeaky. Slept fine though.

Location was great, right net to the freeway. Very convenient. Comfortable room and bed and lots of nice pillows.

No breakfast even though the reservation said breakfast was included. The hotel room was clean and comfortable enough but the facility had the feel that they were running the hotel bare bones, giving the guests the least amount they had to give. Check in was delayed briefly while I waited for the clerk to come to the desk; when it happened, it was quick, brisk and focused on getting my card to pay for the room. Perhaps it was due to being understaffed, just was no warmth or interest beyond my payment.

The location is great, right off the highway. The staff is always friendly and the place is very clean. We always stay here on this specific trip and we always like it.

This Super 8 is amazing! It exceeded our expectation for a hotel just 50 miles outside of St Louis. We loved the fan in the bathroom which our hotel in St Louis did not have. The room was clean and just very comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable and I am a smoker so the fact they had smoking rooms available was great!

That they don't clean the rooms very well they clean what you can see but if you look behind the bed and under the dresser or behind the night stand it is very gross and dirty

one of the nicest super 8’s I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve seen others along my travels that seem to be achieving this level. Hopefully super 8 is upping their game.

Overall the St clair super 8 has been great the location and it still has smoking rooms which is worth a lot to me

There is a new employee who works here that refused to give her name but she has green/black hair that is extremely rude and has repeatedly been rude to not only me but also my fiance and even stated that if we didn't like her stay somewhere else. When asked to speak to or a way to contact a supervisor or owner she refused to give any info. We have been staying at this establishment a lot since the first of the year due to our house burning so we can be together when work allows and probably won't be coming back due to her unpleasantness
