Charming, Peaceful, and Full of Heart – Halona Inn Hotel My stay at the Halona Inn Hotel in Zuni was unforgettable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, made even better by the friendly local cats and the peaceful koi pond, a perfect place to relax. Breakfast was a treat every morning, especially the blue corn pancakes, which were both delicious and locally inspired. My room was cozy and filled with books about Zuni culture and New Mexico, adding a thoughtful, personal touch. This inn is more than just a place to sleep, it’s a quiet, cultural retreat that offers a real connection to the local community. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return.

I loved the decor of the bedroom we had. And, the Inn has created a lovely outdoor space, which we didn't get to enjoy as it was late and we were tired. We enjoyed a walk down the street in the morning, while we waited for breakfast to be served in the adjoining restaurant. It was interesting as we crossed a bridge, a sign asked non-Zuni people/tourists to please not enter that part of town, perhaps, to not make a spectacle, or subject of photography the Zuni people....? It was a nice drive out to Zuni, and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in knowing more about American history, more about indigenous groups, and the displacement of indigenous groups by Euro-American peoples. I received an education while traveling the American SouthWest.

I think it's possible that larger than average people could have difficulty using the toilet in the inn bedroom we had. Our toilet was in a closet. It requires a certain level of finesse (I couldn't close the door, as it would hit my knees, and just so you can compare, I'm 5' 4", average size) The shower is also in a closet, it was certainly a creative use of space, and the door decor made the toilet closet look like an outhouse. The shower was much easier to maneuver in than the toilet area.

The inn was very much a part of the local community. I was expecting (dreading) a more touristy place and this was not at all touristy. Incredibly friendly staff! Amazing, huge breakfast included. The blue corn pancakes were excellent but so much food (pancakes, eggs, bacon, homefries) I couldn't finish! My husband's SW omelette was great (except they used American cheese). Complete kitchen available for all guests to use (though we didn't). Great library of books in the room and interesting decor.

I was sorry that I "upgraded" to a "family room with fireplace" because it turned out to be a basement room (room 5), very dark and musty with low ceiling and no way to open the small windows. If there could be a way to get fresh air into the room it would help. I wish I'd been in a room with sun and air.

It was a real privilege to be able to stay on the Zuni Pueblo. I had been there several times before in the past but just for day long visits. It was wonderful to spend the entire evening, night, and morning there to really feel the atmosphere and the rhythm of the Pueblo. The breakfast in the morning was prompt and made to order and the staff were extremely kind and responsive.

I am 6ft 2in tall and my bathroom was just a tad small but no other complaints.

Room was clean and comfortable. Warning if you are upstairs the bathroom is a duck to enter situation and it is very small. Nice writing desk, plenty of local informational reading and book selection. Breakfast is amazing! Blue corn pancakes are awesome. 👌 Nice, relaxing patio.

Neighbor's barking dog disrupted our sleep twice in the night. There are not many amenities in Zuni. There are some amazing natural attractions not far for exploration.

What a treasure! It is a quaint and cozy spot in the Zuni pueblo. Our room was very comfortable and there is outdoor seating all around to relax. We were on the top floor and our balcony surrounded by trees...almost like you are in a tree house! The place has nooks full of books and knick knacks. Almost like you are at your crazy aunts house or grandmas! They take your breakfast order the night before. The restaurant and little market is next door. Very easy and everyone so dang nice!

Honestly nothing really. The room walls are thin and you can hear people (muffled for sure). Our neighbor had kids and they ran around some, but being a mom myself (away from my kids) I didn't mind. I hope they didn't mind us up at 6am packing up. We drove by it a few times...definitely found the market - Halona Plaza is very clear! But we didn't know the inn was next to it and behind. We had to call. No biggy just something to be prepared for as the parking and entrance is in the back. I am not a breakfast person and the eggs/beans were just ok. Coffee was great. Both near our room (a Keurig) and at breakfast...strong! I loved it.

Halona was absolutely AMAZING. The staff is kind, the place is beautiful and the hospitality is top-tier. I truly felt a sense of home in a place that isn't at all my home. I am beyond grateful to the Halona team and the Zuni people for allowing us to discover a bit more about their lives, cultures, artistry. If you are not certain about stopping in Zuni, just do. You leave the area with a fuller heart. :)

Cute little place an hour outside of Petrified National Forest and Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary which is why we chose it. HUGE portions of delicious breakfast included! Comfortable bed and enough room for all of our stuff.

Beware if you're tall - with 2 people over 6 feet, we had difficulty with the very short door to the bathroom that opened into the bed and required a step up to get into. Pretty small shower that I had difficulty getting hot in the morning (but was close to scalding in the evening for others).

A cozy family hotel, managed by a wonderful Zuni family! The house is plenty of souvenirs from the tribe, wonderful colors, an unusual hotel on the way to Santa Fe Rooms are small compared to the standars rooms in the USA, but the atmosphere is lovely! Thebreakfast in the morning gougeous! Abundant and very good! he best ever I had during this trip! Do not arrive late!!! All restaurants and fast foods in the area are closed after 9 pm, fast is a risk!!!!

Very unique place. The staff was very nice. Room had everything you need. If you are looking for a different type of hotel, this is a good choice. We enjoyed our stay and would for sure come back. Breakfast was super generous as well!

The door of the room did not reach the ground so there was absolutely no privacy from the neighbors. It was hard to find the checkin location initially. Also, the second floor rooms do not have an elevator so be aware if you have heavy luggage (which we did).
