The location The best thing of the hotel is the location. It is placed in the heart of Manhattan between the 5th and the 6th Avenue. The hotel The hotel will send you a link 1 day before your arrival and you will have to check-in in the hotel online. They will send you a code to enter in the hotel and another code for the room, so you will not find a person for the check-in. The hotel doesn’t have a lift, so if you have a lot of suitcases, it is not ideal! The cleaning service is not included, and they ask an extra 30 dollar for the cleaning if you request. There is a room where you can find the toilet paper, the shower tablecloths, soap and shampoo, so you can change the tablecloths every day without extra cost, and it is possible to borrow room and bathroom cleaning products if you do not want to pay the 30 dollars for the cleaning.

The room The room are small, and the only window can’t be opened. In the room I had a bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a microwave, a fridge, and a machine to make American coffee. The bathroom had a shower. I thought that I booked a room with a private bathroom, but after I discovered that it was a share bathroom with another room :-(.

Great place to crash after running around the city. The lady that checked me in was super friendly! AC worked perfectly! Loved the locks with keypads on the room door. 24hr Front access code was a bonus! Microwave, fridge, food storage cabinet and small wardrobe cabinet with a safe made the stay comfortable!

Only real complaint was the WiFi and service was subpar and there were no wash clothes with the linens, to be fair i didn’t check with the front desk but really the only thing I noticed was missing. Not deal breakers but things to keep in mind! Tv was not a smart tv so i would recommend bringing stuff to stream movies. No elevator, totally fine for us but could see it being a problem for some. The street it is on is pretty low traffic but there is an elementary school, my friend is a light sleeper so she did wake up to the sound of kids yelling and screaming. The bed is okay. A little stiff but doable.

They gave me a very lovely room, an upgrade actually, on 2nd floor. It had a private bathroom, a very nice and clean bed, a t.v. and a very clean and cozy bathroom as well. The room had all other basic amenities like a mini fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, iron box, a safe. It was a very good room. Absolute value for money. I will definitely go there again! The stuff was super friendly and supportive as well.

The only thing I didn't like was that the WiFi was always on and off in a span of minutes. It was not smooth, for lack of a better word. It was off for long and on for a short while. They can please fix that.

Chelsea Inn was a great budget stay for our family of 3. The room is quite small but it's only meant to be a place for us to rest at night. The staff (especially the day shift) is extremely helpful and friendly. There was one night that we had very noisy neighbours and the staff were able to move us to another room the next day. The location is very convenient. It's within walking distance to Trader Joe's, High Line, Harry Potter Store and other major subway stations. There is no breakfast included but they have complimentary k-cup coffee and light snacks at the reception. There is also no daily housekeeping for the room (available at $35 extra if requested), but this was not an issue for us.

Some of the furniture looked tired and the bed was a bit squeaky.

Location was great, close to several metro stations, in between Times Square and Downton, so it was very good to go around.

I didn’t read properly before booking it, so I didn’t realize the hotel does not have elevator, so going up and down by staircase (specially with the luggage) was a bit problematic as I was in the last floor (5th).

The location is perfect. We took a room with a private bathroom. The room is OK for a few-day stays. It's not so big. Small but OK. The bathroom was clean. There is no cleaning service in the rooms, so if you are going to stay for a long time, please consider this.

The only issue is that our room was on the 5th floor and there is no elevator in the building, so if you have big lagguage/23kg bags it's a challenge to bring those bags on narrow stairs. ​ Another note for the facility itself is to pay attention to the cleaners. There was, used, already dried-out coffee bag in our coffee machine. Seems left from previous guests. It was so disgusting we did not use the coffee machine at all during our stay.

Room was just big enough and had the necessary things for an overnight stay. The shared bathroom was small but had the essentials and was only shared with one other room which was nice.

The blinds on the window didn't go all the way down the length of the window (although the headboard did block most of the bottom of the window) so it never really got properly dark in the room. Climbing up four full sets of stairs to get to the 5th floor could definitely be challenging, although never having to wait for a slow elevator was also nice.

The location is great! Specially if you want to do some shopping! Close to everything, nice coffee places around, the building is secure and it’s pretty up to date with everything you need!

We stayed in room 104, is a corner room. That had a heating pipe inside the room on one of the corners(next to the bed), the pipe made really strong noise inside our room during the night, which made it almost impossible to get a good night of sleep. There was also no place to hang our towels in the bathroom, and some of the dispensers were broken, little details that’s can be fix and not mayor.

Perfect location, clean room and lovely staff. It was our first time in NY and the location was perfect to move easily around town. We weren’t particularly bothered by noises in the streets or other rooms like some other reviews said. The room was small but had enough space to move around and place our luggage. It came with a small fridge and hairdryer. All the staff we met was super lovely and welcoming, would definitely come back!

The bed could have been a little more comfortable but it was ok.
