The water parks are always a hit with the kids, and the rooms are large and private enough for spreading out. We had four kids and two adults, and as the adults, we were able to hide out in our room from time to time for some rest between family activities. We had a two bedroom suite and it was perfect. Also, the reasonably stocked kitchen makes it nice not to have to eat out all the time.

The waterpark in our building was closed for repairs. We were only notified about a week before check-in. The temps were in the 20s (unusually cold), and we had to walk over to the other building outside to get to the other park. There were no changing rooms and a very crowded pool area, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Also, be sure to bring coffee and filters because they do not have k-cup machines, nor do they provide coffee. You have to pay over $3 a cup for what I can only peg as foldgers or lesser quality coffee.

I like the family attraction and being able to enjoy the inside as well as the oceanfront at the same time.

There could be a little more inside game attractions for family that won't a break from water activity for Example there were 2 pool tables and there were certain people taking up the pool tables and not giving all the families a chance to play the pool Tables and being rude.. So I would say having some kind of signed up letting individuals know that maybe after 2 games giving someone else an opportunity to play.

The pools, Jacuzzis, and the water slides were above expectations. The kids loved it. The ocean was a minute away. The rooms were clean furniture outdated but clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable as well. The kitchen was well equipped. We had everything we needed. I loved having a washer and dryer. The dishwasher wasn't exactly up to par but usable was the only thing that didn't work well. The patio was a nice size and presented a wonderful view of the ocean. The food in the restaurants was outstanding but not free. Everything was situated outside very well so that guests were not crowded in. Nice spa tub in the bath. The staff was always nice and friendly. We really liked the hotel and plan on going back.

Literally everything was amazing besides the bug and smell of weed problem.It’s beautiful, comfortable, friendly staff, locations awesome, lots to do and offer alot. Just has tons of roaches and you smell weed everywhere.

Didn’t do food but I bought mixed drinks. Lava lamp was excellent and the fact you can drink it while sitting and watching your children at the water park made for a better night.

It was really crowded but understandable as to there was a community emergency. Wasn’t exactly expecting a crowded weekend birthday trip but it was fine. Stayed an extra night since most ppl left and that was our best night there.

Overall experience was great. I traveled with Adult son and daughter along with my 9 yr old granddaughter and we had a great time. Ocean was a little cold so the pools were great.

The location was great, nice neighborhood, beach front, very family friendly, and tons of activities for the kids to do on the premises.

The room we were in seemed to be getting a little run down… or “well loved”. The most important part of the rooms, bedding and bathroom, was clean so no complaints about that at all. But the air conditioner in the room was LOUD and leaking all in the floor, the shower head barely worked, the toilet was setting tilted, the pull out couch was horribly broken down, and there wasn’t a secondary security lock at the top of the door.. there were a couple of other small things not worth bringing up because they had no impact on our stay. Again, the room was clean, no bugs, bedding clean, bathroom clean, just a few things that seem to be neglected but overall the they had no significant impact on our stay and we would likely stay again.

Very kid friendly but also enjoyable for parents. I liked that we could use both water parks at both Dune hotels and that we had direct beach access. The kids enjoyed the water slides and the pools because they could touch the bottom of the pool. The restaurant in the Dunes village was very good and the staff was friendly. I liked that there is a coffee shop that sells Starbucks drinks even though I didn't get a chance to have any. Our room was very clean, the air worked well, and we had plenty of space for the 5 of us.

Parking wasn't the best. Breakfast was very expensive, almost $90 for 2 adults and 3 small children who barely ate. The breakfast area was also too small for the mass number of people. The king bed in our suite was not very comfortable and dont lean against the backboard, or you'll slide the whole bed forward since it's not screwed together. We could have used better hand soap in the bathroom as we had a tiny little bar. The shower is extremely narrow, so if you're not a narrow shaped person, you're gonna have a hard time showering comfortably, and you'll also enjoy the shower curtain sticking to you the whole time. The lighting in the water park could have been better it was very dark as it got later in the day.

I did not try the breakfast but the location could not have been better. Every restaurant whether it be fast food or fine dining was within minutes of the resort. Walmart was also a 10 minute or less drive away. The resort was fantastic. There's so much for everyone to do. You have access to both towers so it doubles the fun. The beds were clean and comfortable. The employees were friendly and when I go back to myrtle beach, dunes will be where I stay.

There was a smell of garbage in every hallway. The balcony door was pretty hard to open. The hotel room could have been just a tiny bit cleaner for the price paid but I do understand the staff are rushed when cleaning rooms. This would not deter me from coming back.

Water park, pools, and beach set up are perfect for families with young children. The kids were thoroughly worn-out by dinner time each day. We will be back for future family trips. Highly recommend for families with toddlers, etc.

Eating options in walking distance are limited to the 2 restaurants within the hotel. Decent for lunch or a casual dinner but expensive for the type of food offered. Watch out for the concierge, they don't work for the resort and will offer you discounts on activities in exchange for attending time share meetings.
