I liked how it was tucked away and quiet. The little houses were nice. I enjoyed talking with the owners of the property. Loved the cats! The bells of Notre Dame were a nice touch on the hour. And the frog pond was cute.

I was surprised at the breakfast. It was good, but in my mind, I was expecting a hot breakfast... but that may have been my misunderstanding. Parking was a little tricky to maneuver, but I was able to back out fine.

The setting is delightful, quiet, and spacious. It is not a 5 star pampering place, but a spot to quietly be restored. So, yes you serve yourself, port your own baggage, and clean your own room, and in exchange do everything at your own pace. Cabins are stocked and nicely, comfortable, decorated, come and go as you please, basic German cold breakfast served to your door, and very good air conditioning. Friendly cats made it even better.

I wish we had a wagon to take our things to the cabin from the parking area, or specific permission to drive up to the cabin, unload then go park.

The pictures don’t lie, this is a fairytale property with 4 separate cottages. The grounds are beautiful, with a duck pond (including 4 baby ducks not afraid of anything and following you everywhere). You can lounge around outdoor fire pit or have drinks at the outdoor bar area. We rented all of them with our family (10 adults) and everyone loved it!

Each cottage has two “bedrooms” but they don’t have doors: the bottom bedroom opens up to the sitting area and the upstairs bedroom (reachable by pullout ladder only) is in the loft. It’s noticeably warmer upstairs in the loft so the AC needs to bed set cold. Great for a family with kids but less suitable for 4 adults.

This was a bit out of the ordinary for me. I usually get a hotel room. The Inn was out near Luckenbach and wasn't what I was expecting. There are four little German A frame houses on the property - set around an acre or so. The owners came out with us and explained where things were in the house. They have paid much attention to detail in the house with cute little German furnishings everywhere. It is quite lovely. As in the photos you see the 2nd bedroom is upstairs and you must climb a pull-out ladder.... (Make sure you count your stairs, so you know how many there are when you come down to the main level or need to go to the bathroom.) The breakfast in the morning was delicious German bread, hard boiled eggs, cheese and meats, yogurt and fruit, orange and apple juice. They bring it to your front door around 7:30 am. and it was lovely. There is a fridge, a microwave, a coffeepot, hairdryer, great air-conditioning - most of the comforts of home. I loved it. Very different. It was refreshing to hear the birds, roosters, and just be in the country a bit. There is a firepit you are welcomed to use any night you are there. I wish we had gone out to enjoy the night sky - I am sure we could have seen many stars from there.

It was absolutely wonderful. The first night we got there the ac had gone out and Henry called multiple ac repair shops and got it fixed that night! Thank u so much! And after that it was just perfect. He’s done an amazing job on the property! Beautiful lighting, darling frog pond, soothing waterfall. The cottage is so cozy, the bed was perfect, soft pillows & supportive mattress. The breakfast, although not what Americans expect, cold meat, cheese, bread, fruit & yogurt, was very good and really all we needed.. Barbara and Henry and super sweet and welcoming. We just loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We didn’t wanna leave. The grounds were so incredible that I think this sets them apart from all other B&B’s in the area. We’ll be returning as soon as we can.

Needing some towels in the kitchenette for dish drying. I would have liked the breakfast to not be the exact same items daily, variety would have been nice. The only other thing I’d say is it was so expertly decorated that every spot had a trinket. I wanted some extra space in the bathroom to put my things. As well as maybe a small set of drawers to unpack just a lil. We were there 4 nights and that’s a lot not to be able to have easy access to clothing and personal items. Otherwise this is the PERFECT get away! I would recommend this property to everyone!

It's truly like a fairytale I could not believe how absolutely adorable and magical everything was and I really do mean magical! This was honest to goodness the best place I've stayed in Fredricksburg!

Honestly nothing. This was a 10/10!!! Breakfast was a little strange but still delicious, very charcuterie board like. Loved it all the same!

The ambience! Tucked in a beautiful garden, with hummingbirds and cats paying you a visit. Little cabins with its own character, full of chachkies yet super clean And on top of it - You get breakfast delivered to your cabin! It’s truly amazing and close to all the wineries around

Henry is an excellent host, The property is straight out of a fairytale. Ultimate spot for relaxation, peaceful and quiet. Unless it is new years, and then the neighborhood fireworks are full force, we made it back in time to watch, great firework show!

Nothing to complain about

Henry and Barbara were so welcoming and helpful! Oir cottage was so adorable, the breakfast was hand delivered to our porch, and the grounds were peaceful and reminded us of a fairy garden, especially at night! One of a kind place!

The loft area was very warm, even when the AC was on. It was so uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping on the loveseat downstairs. There were also ants throughout the cottage.
