The breakfast was an excellent assortment of food and the specialty of the day - souffle with stewed apples - was supper. Especially b/c it was hot (which brings me to the "did not like below"

COLD Plates - The utensils, cups, saucers, plates and so forth were not kept warm and so, for example, by the time you served your coffee at the table, the coffee was luke warm. The milk served for coffee or tea should be hot and not cold, and kept in thermos-type containers. Recommendation, for breakfast at least, considering that it is self-service, all china and packets of utensils should be stored in a warming cupboard. As mentioned above, the souffle was direct from the oven in its baking dish, and the serving plate came from the kitchen - so it was delightfully hot for the whole time.

The place was very cute, quaint, clean and the owners were excellent in providing info on the area. We skied Jay Peak, looked at covered bridges, soaked in the hot tub, etc. Fantastic place. We will be back.

Gorgeous property. Obviously well maintained and treated with love. Beautiful location on the river and right in town - we could walk to restaurants. The wonderful rooms were thoughtfully decorated as complete with all the modern touches and extra care given to comfort. Daren was absolutely delightful. He greeted us with warm, friendly smiles after a long day of travel and a late arrival and each morning asked how we were doing and if we needed anything extra. He took the time to get to know us and cared about our experience! He helped us with plans to make our stay enjoyable and gave great recommendations. The main house was so adorable and large - plenty of room to relax. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and unique each morning! The location was perfect for exploring the fall foliage! We can’t wait to return!

Before this trip I had never visited Vermont, and when I pictured what a Vermont Inn was like, this encompassed it. It was quiet, it has history, and extremely picturesque. Staff was warm and laid back. Loved they are dog friendly. They were accommodating with food allergies, so breakfast was made to order and amazing. I loved looking outside with snow gently falling. It felt like a different period in time. Lastly, the hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing.

The inn was quaint and relaxing. I loved that there was fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies, snacks, and soft drinks available ( and included in the price). Gina and Cassie were wonderful. Thanks for a great stay.

My suite could have been cleaner. The bedroom smelled very perfumey. I found an air freshener and put it on the deck. The suite was really nice, but needed a deep clean.

Everyone at the Phineas Swan was delightful. Breakfast was great for a day of skiing. The front room had plenty of comfortable seating to gather. There were free snacks, hot beverages, and wine and beer to purchase. Also, great recommendations for dinner in the area .

Host Darren was absolutely amazing!! Very welcoming and felt like family member like we went to visit family. Breakfast was out of this world good!! we stayed in green room and bed was super comfortable! bathroom was excellent and water pressure perfect!! Extremely clean and I am very sensitive person I check everything and I can tell you this is by far my most favorite bed and breakfast ever! I miss it so much and can’t wait to go back!! There is free soda and snacks!!! every place charges you, this is the only place that has it complimentary. I cannot recommend it enough and wish I found it sooner! cannot wait to go back!!

Very beautiful old house in a picturesque Vermont town. Great facilities and friendly staff (special call out for lovely Rita). Awesome breakfast every day. Highly recommended.

We loved everything about our stay except for the rain that kept us inside for breakfast. The food was exceptional, the hostess was nice as could be. Loved the little extras they leave out for you like the drinks and snacks. We found ourselves comparing other B&Bs along our trip to this one (none could match it completely).

This inn is amazing, very warm and beautiful. You will be stunned by hot tubs, flowers and green grass all around. The staff is so nice and the rooms are lovely. And the breakfast? Homemade waffle, and other selections. Delicious! you can also have coffee or tea at any time and freshly baked cookies. I loved my stay here, I wish I will come back some day! If you want to stay in an amazing place where to relax and eat great breakfast, that’s the place for you!
