Just a great experience. I don't often stay at a bed and breakfast, but this was a great experience. The manager was so friendly on greeting us a check-in. We were late checking in and just about missed happy hour, so she was nice enough to bring the drinks to our room. The breakfast was delicious! I also liked the 2 free car chargers, I'm the parking lot. I liked being able to walk to the Inn At Little Washington and was a fraction of their cost.

We enjoyed the happy hour thoroughly. It gave us a chance to talk to others guests and was fun. The lady who was organizing everything was friendly and made recommendations regarding other things to do in the area to make our visit more enjoyable. That was much appreciated. Breakfast was decent, although by no means elaborate.

The room was small was underwhelming for the price we paid. Of course, everything in Washington, VA is expensive, so the White Moose Inn simply follows that pattern.

Barbara was unbelievably helpful every step of the way: booking our reservations, delivering delicious breakfasts, cleaning, meeting special needs, providing local information and recommendations, etc. Jaede was amazing as well. Checking in was easy and fun because of her. The Happy Hour was a nice touch. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable. She answered all our many questions about the area. She was remarkably patient and pleasant with our group. My mother-in-law selected The White Moose for a Washington VA trip to celebrate her 90th birthday and both Barbara and Jaede made Louise’s stay a wonderful, memorable experience. Thank you sooooo much for all your efforts on our behalf, especially for the 90th Birthday bottle of Champagne! YOU GUYS ROCK!

Bath towels were very linty.

My one night stay at the White Moose Inn was simply delightful. From my moment of arrival I was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The hospitality offered was genuine and thoughtful. The Inn is very soothing in it's color scheme and modern decor. My room, Number 5, was so comfortable! I had 7 windows, which I loved! The bed was very comfortable and the pillows extra fluffy. I loved the touch of the robe and slippers and cold water waiting for me. The bathroom has Moulton Brown bath products. The shower was large with good water pressure and lots of hot water. Breakfast was delicious. First a yogurt served with some of the best granola from the Red Truck Rural Bakery, and jam. I definitely stopped at that bakery on the way home for some of that granola! Second course was a delicious quiche, also from the Red Truck Bakery. Coffee was also good. Breakfast was served indoors my visit since there was rain during most of my stay. There are chairs and tables on the patio out back where breakfast can be had when the weather is nice. There is also an electric firepit table that would be lovely with a glass of wine. They do have 5pm happy hour although I did not get to partake in it due to dinner reservations elsewhere. The back of the property has an expansive lawn that has views of the mountains and it's very calm and soothing. Wandering around the little town of Washington was also a pleasant surprise. I felt safe and welcomed during my stay and my hosts were always wonderful to chat with. I definitely will return to this little haven.

If you’re dining at the Inn this couldn’t be a better location to stay- it’s a quick walk and feels like it’s on property. The room was modern and incredibly well appointed. The views of the sunrise in the morning were just breathtaking. Each and every staff member was wonderful and helpful; the White Moose exceeded all of our expectations. The robes and slippers were a sweet touch that we appreciated!! Don’t miss the breakfast! It was amazing.

The Inn was truly fantastic. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were catered to as if we were the only guests. It was nothing short of fabulous. Barb and the rest of the staff were attentive, kind, and extremely congenial. I cannot rave enough about our stay.

I loved everything.

The location is absolutely perfect for being in the town of little Washington. It was a very short walk to the inn at little Washington, it’s basically three doors down the road. Barb was such a fantastic manager, so friendly and definitely made us feel completely at home. The rest of the staff we met at breakfast were so on top of everything and the breakfast itself was so good with yogurt granola and fruit and an egg quiche. 15/10 experience. The inn is a main house with several rooms on different floors with their own bathroom and a bit of closet space. The bed was a king, and the windows looked at the mountains which we couldn’t get enough of. The Inn was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. They aren’t kidding about no cell service, but they have great WiFi and not having your phone go off really helped us escape for the weekend. The shower was great water pressure and the decor around the hotel was so nice, like a modern place decorated with vintage art pieces and coffee books. Barb kept us informed about what was included in our stay (Happy Hour wine and whiskey, and snacks!) and even went and got chocolates for my fiancé wrote a sweet note for his birthday. She is such a kind person and so knowledgeable about the area and hospitality. She even suggested some more places we could do tastings and had brochures of the area on hand. Overall loved the experience and felt it exceeded expectations.

Loved everything, no dislikes.

We stayed in the cottage and it was amazing. The location was perfect and close to everything. It is the perfect getaway for a couple. The cottage was 5 stars clean and quiet. It was bright and sunny with a wood burning stove. The common space in the Inn was cozy and inviting with snacks and drinks. Breakfast was very good. I highly recommend.

The place is wonderful The surrounding is amazingly pretty Everything was implacably clean and above all was the care and hosting of Barb and her great staff. It was really a great experience.

Liked everything

We loved the White Moose Inn. Mai and Barb are the epitome of gracious hostesses. We really enjoyed how welcoming they were; there was amazing communication with them prior to arriving and during our stay. The room was wonderful. It was calming and comfortable, with every amenity. Mai and Beth even left a bottle of wine for us to celebrate our anniversary. The bed was amazing, the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. There were even robes and slippers! We enjoyed the complimentary Happy Hour provided (wines and whiskey) where we got to chat with other guests. The WMI is about a three minute walk from The Inn at Little Washington, where we had our anniversary dinner. WMI is the perfect location to stay so that you can easily walk to the restaurant and back after a sumptuous meal. A complete morning coffee/tea bar is waiting for you in the common room when you wake up. The breakfast was just right, not heavy, it was filling: yogurt, artisanal granola and fruit, then a personal sized quiche.
