I have traveled a lot and stayed in many wonderful places around the world, but nowhere have I found such a warm, attentive, and family-like atmosphere as at the French Style House. Mrs. Le Nguyen Thi Minh, the hospitable host, has left a deep impression on me—I feel as if she were my sister. She is a sophisticated, educated woman who speaks several languages, and we understood each other very well. The surroundings are spotless, and the neighborhood has a unique and interesting charm. I received so much care and assistance, and I look back on this family with deep gratitude.

Owner was very accommodating and super warm. He offered a lot of information about Hanoi and the general area. The place itself was quiet and in an interesting neighborhood where you can get a taste of authentic local life.

The property is a bit tricky to find. Thankfully, Hanoi grab drivers are good navigators. It's not necessarily close to any tourist attraction, but it's good for those who want to see how locals really live.

The owners were very helpful. I was made to feel at home by being invited immediately to a traditional Vietnamese style dinner before being shown to my accomodation room. I received much generosity during my stay during Chinese New Year in February, and they even went above and beyond to provide me with meals during the lockdown of stores in the local region due to New Years - a favour I am very grateful for. I also received great advice on making the most of my stay in Hanoi. Lastly, the maid working at the house also did an excellent job and was helpful with washing my clothes and cleaning the house. Overall I would recommend staying here to anyone. Worth the money!

This may seem odd, but I felt a little confused on how to receive generosity from the owners. Not being used to the culture, I sometimes felt like I didn’t know what to do with the food being offered or how I could return the favour, and felt like I was imposing too much by saying yes to it. Perhaps it’s just my own problem though, it was very gracious of them either way.

Room (3rd floor) with one double- and one single bed was good quality and with private bathroom included, balcony. Especially for one person good space, for 2 also sufficient I think. The owner very nice, helpful and open to talk to, had interesting conversation. They is even a map with description about most interesting information like public transport, restaurants around etc. although little outdated but still helpful and relevant. I could only stay 2 nights because it was booked afterwards but I was offered to stay in another house/ room close of relative which I took. Small narrow streets in neighborhood. Area out of centre with just normal live, no tourist area.

It is a bit far out of centre with that much traffic. It can take a while to get in the centre or out of it...but is an experience as well, did not bother me much for short stay

The house is located in a quiet area. You will have local feelings. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a short useful manual about points of interest and local traffic. This property is a homestay. You live with a family and it feels great.

The room was a good size, there was a small kitchen area. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay at French Style House. The owner was friendly.
