An excellent half way stopover between Sydney and Melbourne. We have stayed here many times over the years. It is an older motel with smaller rooms - but well utilised space -and recently refreshed with white walls, and updated decor, and a glass door fitted to the shower to replace previous curtain. The bed is comfortable with electric blankets, extra pillows, blankets. There is a m/w inside which was 2 sets of crockery /cutlery for your own provisions or for the room service menu-very useful as is the small table and two chairs . There is a sink outside the bathroom suitable for washing up and filling jug. Bathroom has adequate supplies and a good walk in shower. Parking is at the door. Convenient access and quiet off the highway. Good bakery and cafes and IGA in the town . Good communication with reception .Good value

There is nothing we don't like as we find this convenient and good value but it is not a glamorous motel but perfectly functional.

Room was very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Quiet room, no traffic noise at all. Room was well maintained with all tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, towels replaced daily. Great value budget motel. Friendly staff. Great communication. Lots of good pressure hot water in the shower. We had a lovely meal in their restaurant. Not an extensive menu but the food was very nice.

Twin room was on the smallish side, but as we were away on business all day, we were really only sleeping there, so we didn't mind. A few hooks on the back of the bathroom door would have been handy.

this motor inn had a service book giving info on how the town got its name .Info on the person who established the motor inn plus info on how to use TV air-conditioning where the plates for dinner or breakfast where. Then it provided services for washing clothes and ordering breakfasts plus a choice of ordering a meal in the restaurant. When I make another trip to Victoria this will be the first place I will check to see if it's available. I Highly recommend this place to families or people who want to break their trip into 2.

Because of the late arrival I didn't get to read this service book until the next morning when I was due to leave. Sadly the restaurant was open due to a electrical failure.

It’s a great country motel, it’s not the first time I have stayed here and won’t be the last, decent sized room, all the facilities I need, I really like it here. No road noise, it’s clean, staff are always friendly and an electric blanket made for a cosy sleep after my 600km cycle event. Clean, comfortable, warm with wifi.

Nothing, it ticked the boxes I needed. It’s not a 5 star hotel it services my needs in a clean and comfort way.

Easy to park a car and trailer on the street outside (some spaces to the left as well). Easy communication with staff. Rainmaker showerhead is a delight after a long drive. They can bring dinner to your room if you arrange prior to 4:30pm (they text the menu) and are getting there before 8pm. Madhav realised we were running later than we’d planned and waited to cook before we got there at 8:30pm. Food was hot and delicious!

Everything I needed for a simple one night stop was provided. For the money the internal renovations have provided a decent space. I have stayed there before and would again... but might bring a soft blanket to put on the mattress!.

Mattress was too hard for my liking. It felt as if I had springs poking into me all night. Could hear people in neighbouring rooms if they even sneezed... or other bodily sounds! I realise it is an old building but that was a bit of a surprise.

The price was within our budget of less than $125 for standard facilities. Had an electric blanket on bed, which was great for the cold winter night. Close to a pub for dinner. Onsite parking close to door. Staff were friendly.

The bathroom flickering on & off. i’m sure maintenance would find it.

We booked a room at the last moment. The 4th bed was a trundle bed on the floor but that suited out two year old perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable, just right for an overnight stop on the Hume. Had a microwave and toaster (cutlery is in the microwave)

I thought it was a bit overpriced for what was a basic motel room

My wife and I only stayed for one night and found that our room was very clean and that all amenities, including the air conditioning unit in good working order.

The fluorescent light in the bathroom would momentarily switch on and off every few minutes. And the water in the sink basin would still drain with the plug pushed down.

Proximity to freeway and shops.

Was looking for the cutlery etc, never thought to check the microwave, so walked to IGA to buy some. Perhaps mention in the welcome message that’s where they are or put a sign on the microwave.
