Located on the main street close to a pub with a good bistro and walking distance to all the other shops and cafes in the town, this turned out to be an excellent place to stay. It doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside and inside isn't going to win any prizes either. The decor is strictly 1960's country motel, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and every room has undercover parking for a normal sized car next to it. The bonus of having car spaces between each room is that there is no common wall with other motel rooms so you aren't disturbed by loud TVs, conversation or snoring from other rooms on either side. The bed was very comfy and the room had tea/coffee making facilities and a microwave. The shower was hot and strong, and the towels, while not thick, were a decent size, not the micro variety you get in some cheaper motels.

The decor could've been nicer, but it was clean and functional which is the main thing.

Location and the ability to check in late were key for me. The room was large (we had a family room) and suited our needs perfectly.

The management sent me a couple of messages ahead of the visit to check that I wasn’t bringing any pets, even after saying on the booking that I wasn’t. They told me on arrival how other guests had said that they were not bringing pets only to then do so. I get it but it could have been written a little more nicely. That said, I would still stay there again.

Great location and excellent value for money. Just opposite the submarine and a short walk to the bakery, cafes and servo. The first thing I noticed was the individual car parks next to the rooms which is under cover and a huge space for cars. Our family room was quite large and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The rooms are maintained and presented in an excellent manner. The bathroom is also very clean and presentable. I commend the owners for their presentation of the facility and will book again when we next drive through. Thank you.

Late check-in, covered parking lots, convenient location. Beds were very comfortable. Vintage style. Oh, there were the bottled water in the fridge, cutlery on the table. In a word, the hosts have an eye into details. We felt welcomed after a long day drive.

Fantastic hotel. It is a little bit older - but spotlessly clean. Very quiet as set on a huge block and away from any road noise. Also, next door to one of the best-looking pubs I have ever been to which was very handy to get dinner.

Walk in shower with plenty of hot water (compared to the shower over the spa bath in Waurn Ponds, Victoria. Electric blankets with switching by the bedside (after no blankets--just whole room reverse cycle heating-- a very poor system of providing warmth to the persons Lovely soft double bed. Using bathroom basin for washing meal dishes. Power board to connect electric blankers which wee was crammed into a small place and one electric blanket became unconnected

Although it was far from new it was practical, comfortable and week away from traffic.

Not much at all. It’s obvious the town was suffered due to freeway bypass but that was to our advantage as it was quite.

Great location, quiet even though central. Lovely pub next door. Old style but well managed and maintained - undercover parking is great in summer.

The room was an excellent size for a motel.The staff couldn't do enough to support You ,All told excellent room. Bonus had a car port next to room,never had one of those.

It's not that I didn't like it but a bigger fridge with freezer would have been nice.

This motel is retro cool! It is freshly painted in a lovely green relevant to 60's-70's architecture. We arrived in the night and it was all lit up cute with simple but cool outdoor lights. Think the Cars movie and arriving in Radiator Springs! We liked the crunchy white stones on the drive way. Terrific undercover car park next to your room. Will stay again. ;)
