The place is well taken care, gardens and communal areas are superb. Beautiful nature surroundings and different areas to enjoy, such as a beautiful pool and a great and well-equipped communal BBQ and fire pit area. Local wildlife such as Wallabies and Koalas is around the place. If you travel 18 min by car to gympie, you can enjoy the Mary valley Rattler steam train which departures from Gympie every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday towards Amamoor and back (3 hours trip with stops for wine and cheese!)

I liked how safe I felt and that my car was parked near my accommodation and not on a busy road. It felt like I was able to sleep well due to this safety. I liked that after a long day, I didn't have to speak to reception and that there was a sign saying "Going to room 2", so I did. It helped that I had stayed before and knew my way around, but I liked that I didn't need to engage when I was exhausted. This stay was so peaceful. The room is beautiful and cozy. I love the rural feel.

We wanted to get away from the city and into the country and mountains. Amamoor Lodge provided a beautiful home away from home, nestled in the bush with plenty of walking trails, and gorgeous views. I loved it so much, the peacefulness, the chickens and the goodest boy, Charlie the dog, that the following morning when I woke, I rebooked the accommodation again for a another trip. Thank you so much, you know I will be back!

We loved the quiet location and the beautiful little town of Amamoor. With only 5 rooms the property provides a truly relaxing getaway. The pool was great and the weather was still pleasant for a swim in April. The nearby state forest has some great walks and the Mary valley is beautiful for day drives. The hotel is a short drive to gympie for the essentials. We will return.

Nothing, we loved our stay.

50 acres to wander and explore. Virginia greeted us as we arrived, very chill and welcoming.. encouraged exploring and filled us in in the happenings around. The room was beautiful, just perfect for us with a wonderful homey, country feel.. the bed was huge! And super friendly Charlie (the dog). Nice and quiet for a quick recharge!

The room was warm, clean and comfortable without any airconditioning to heat room. The location is great close to Bruce Highway at Traviston exit and staff friendly with plenty of parking.

The coffee and tea had not replenished which was disappointing. The food options near all stop taking orders at 7:30pm which is something to be remembered when planning arrival time.

This little hideaway was quiet and quaint with wildlife and other animals all around. It has a peaceful outlook and was a great option for my friend and I. Check was easy and the kitchenette meant we could make our own breakfast and heat up the dinner we brought with us. The tank water was wonderful for showering and drinking (although we did need to be mindful of use). Roomy for two people as well. You do need a car as nothing is close by.

The pillows were a bit low and the bed was small. Otherwise there was nothing else, it was lovely, thank you.

Very beautiful and quiet area and the property was clean and beautifully set in nature. We went prepared with shopping as we knew it was a little away from everywhere. Pool was very nice to swim in. Room was comfortable with everything we needed. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to do it

Great location. Close to Sunshine Coast but outside of the buzz and worked well for the reasons we had to visit Sunshine Coast. Allowed to check-in early with our 3-month old daughter - thank you. Very spacious room!

We had room 1 and the kettle was previously abused with some black stains inside. We’d recommend it to be replaced.

Arriving at the lodge, we saw our name and room number displayed on the board. After parking, we found our spacious room. The friendly and welcoming owners, a lovely couple, greeted us. Our stay at this charming country lodge was a delightful experience.
