A very pleasant surprise. We had just started our trip from Sydney to Cooktown and decided to try a few out of the way places on our journey. Banana Motel turned out to be a real surprise. Rooms were clean and nice, undercover parking which we found are a must with the storms SE Qld. The attached bar and restraunt had simple and delicious meals we both could not finish. Breakfast before we left provided great coffee and again great food. Lastly the staff, very polite and friendly. Helped with all our questions and very professional

.One thing that could add to the service would be a vegetarian option on the menu. I am sure if we had asked that they would have accommodated.

I am extremely grateful for the staff, and the way they handled our crews late check in. We had guys panicking because their names weren't on the list (100% our fault) but upon speaking with staff, in less than 10min they had sorted everything and everyone! Undoubtedly it was the staffs calm demeanour and patience that kept our crew calm, and I thank them for this.

The hotel was great and good for money. We were very impressed with the bar/restaurant facilities, it was gorgeous and the staff were lovely and very friendly and had high standard service. The outdoor kids area was great and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the tunnel and sandpit.

The door to the room locked each time it was closed and we couldn’t link it to stay open when we were using it, couldn’t find a door stop.

Very spacious room that was spotless. Having the restaurant there was great too. They even have room service if you want to eat your meal in your room. Comfy bed. The outside area was immaculately maintained.

Pillows were a little hard. The ac didn't do much to warm the room, even after turning the temp way up.

The room was beautiful, well presented, people were helpful, restaurant was great.

All let down by the most awful ancient, noisy, partially working air-conditioner. The temperature was 4 degrees and we needed the heating, finally set unit at 30c and still just warmed the room, with constant roaring, banging and many other noises. Not a particularly good night in a $185.00 room!

good location , plenty of parking, standard room , hotel has a lovely restaurant & bottle shop and the cafe opens at 5 am with lovely food to start the day. The gardens are beautifully kept, a great collection of Agave's which are obviously well cared for. The hotel also has a really nice appearance inside & outside. From Banana there is no accommodation for another 2 hours drive so well worth stopping here for the night.

The beds were super comfy with quality linens, pillows and styling. Massive TV in the room. Quiet setting. Spacious undercover parking at the door. Friendly service and the coffee and food at the bakery was delicious. Nicer accommodation than most of the hotels I've stayed at in Biloela, and much better value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

What a surprise. Bed was so relaxing. Decor amazing. Very relaxing. Quiet location away from main highway. Short step to hotel that was part of property for a meal.

Bed could have been slightly lower. We weren’t bothered too much as we are tall but it might be hard for shorter people.

What a great place to stay. The room was dated but was very clean. Pet friendly although we didn’t have a pet. The little restaurant was fabulous. Excellent food. Everything we needed for our stay.

Great overnight stay in small township of Banana. Comfortable fresh renovated room with new bed and table and chairs. Sliding back door to small seating area near grassy area at rear. Flyscreen on window and door so could leave open for fresh air. Undercover car park at door. We were in room 18 in block of motel units at back of property away from main road so fairly quiet. Kitchenette with sink, tap, good bar fridge, microwave etc Beautiful outdoor restaurant area with gluten free options. Chic fresh internal restaurant with tablecloths but lovely evening so we sat outside for sunset view. Order wine from wine list or select from bottle shop and add $10. Cafe if required. Friendly manager. PUMA petrol station opposite convenient.

Maybe a couch in queen room (as sufficient space in room) for watching TV. No wifi in room but available at hotel. No crockery only coffee cups in room.
