The reception staff who checked us in made the whole thing super easy and we managed to check in straight from the greyhound bus (even though it was before check in time- so please note this was probably because it was quiet and we were out of season!). The private double room was great, we even had a small (shared) balcony with outside table and chairs which was a lovely perk. The bed was really comfortable and the best part (for us) was the shared bathroom was only shared with one other room so it felt private. Shower was great and the bathroom was really spacious. Location was ideal, about 20 seconds walk from the greyhound bus stop and about 5 minutes to a small high street with great cafes and shops and probably only a couple more minutes until the beachfront.

We had a double room at the hostel and it was more hotel-style than hostel, we even had a balcony! The room and bathroom were clean, you could tell they were thoroughly cleaned regularly and the stay was very comfortable.

The ‘strict’ noise curfew is not monitored at all, there was a group going out to Fraser Island when we stayed and they were very loud past curfew the night before. Everything starts early too as the groups leave early, which we fine for us but not great if you want a lie in.

The location is perfect 2 extra beds compared to the last place we stayed. More room A standard size fridge. (Not a bar fridge) Fans supplied for the room with the bunk beds Mostly clean, tidy, inviting

Mouse droppings on the top shelf of the wardrobe in the room with the bunk beds but we didn't need to use the wardrobes. Bath ring around the shower base however that didn't bother me either Kitchen table top was sticky but maybe residue from cleaning/polish product? Stove hot plates rusting but didn't use/need it Was there meant to be a laundry basket for the dirty linen/towels? Didn't find one sorry.

It’s dated but has a Great location, good for families. Great value, clean, well equipped, easy checkin and checkout.

There was one noisy fan in the bunk room that kept the kids awake. But we found another in the cupboard the next day that was fine.

Very good location. Fantastic pool. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, vending machines available. Afterhours check-in and check-out.

Quiet hours after 21:30 doesn't simply exist - parties last and last. Air-conditioning from nearby rooms is very noisy. We got a room over one of the kitchens - the smell is strong when someone cooks. Bathroom is a bit rusty, but clean.

The staff were great, there was a little mix up the night I arrived and ended up staying in a dorm room, however in the morning it got sorted straight away and I was put into the right room straight away, the girls I was sharing a room with were lovely so it was all good. The staff are hardworking and always give you a smile or a little hello no matter how busy they are. I would stay here again.

The shared bathroom that I had could of done eith some updating but it was clean so thats just me being picky.

There was nowhere to hang up towels either in the bedroom or the bathroom which was quite frustrating - just needs some pegs and the place would be faultless!

I had a private room and it was really nice and comfortable, the bathroom was clean. The hostel will store your luggage for free while you go on the Fraser Island tour
