Beautiful location. I was lucky enough to have a room with a window looking out to the balcony and jetty. Easy to head into Adelaide CBD with bus stops right outside. Handy to have a supermarket and lots of food places to choose from within walking distance. The shared bathroom facilities were clean and the common was well stocked.

Not exactly a dislike as I knew the accommodation was popular with locals and visitors, it had live music and was very busy in the restaurant/bar. Was noisier than I expected, not even the free ear plugs helped.

I loved being at the centre of a seaside destination. The beach stretches for miles, 2 piers, public parks, miles of coastal footpaths, shops , cafes, safe attractive residential areas. Sunsets ! I paid extra for my own bathroom, but the female communal toilets and showers were spacious and well designed. I was prepared for the bar/street noise which was not over loud. The communal balcony was great.

I didn’t realise in the en-suite room that the windows could not be looked out of , didn’t open . For my 6 night stay there were only 2 coat hangers, wall mounted. No room kettle , however the residents kitchenette was good, spacious, always clean. Public transport by bus is frequent to CBD, but it does take 40 mins, unless you walk to the regional station at Grange.

We didn’t eat at the hotel. The location was great with plenty of eating places nearby. Enjoyed using the shared room for coffee and also drinking on the balcony No seating in the room other than the bed and a solid bean bag but staff were kind enough to bring us a comfortable chair..

No car parking, hag to get friends to drop us off and pick us up so no car to explore around. Had to use the bus to get to Harbourtown but at least the stop was close by. Both in our 80s so found the stairs a tad trying, but we’re grateful for the receptionist helping us up with our luggage.

Very clean, great decor, very comfortable, excellent friendly and hospitable staff, complementary water, coffee, milk and tea. As far as customer service and hospitality- the Ramsgate has been the best in Adelaide (We have stayed nearly everywhere). Its also a loveley spot right near henley square and the beach. Great value for money

Bit noisy on weekend, but thats to be expected at a busy pub. Rooms a bit cramped, slow wifi, meals were average.

Being an old hotel, there are shared bathrooms. It would have been better if the staff had explained this and told me where they were located, when they gave me my key. Also, it took a few gos not to trip over the raised floor edge on the way into the bathroom! Bit of a hazard. It's been a few weeks since I stayed here, so I don't quite remember if this was a hotel where the windows don't open. I think it may have been. Makes it very stuffy when you have to rely on an air conditioner, and it cuts you off from the beachside experience.

Loved the location, the complimentary drinks were a lovely touch. We ate at the restuarant and food portions were very generous and super tasty.the rooms were large, clean and well appointed. Shared bathrooms were clean and fantastic water pressure and temperature control. Awesome that there was a microwave and kettle facilities.

Water pressure from boiling water tap was a bit vigorous, be careful not to get burnt, otherwise was fantastic central location.

Big and clean rooms, bathroom is shared but very big and clean. They offer also free water, coffee and tea and a free drink!!!

It was REALLY NOISY, there was live music which went on until midnight. It was very loud, maybe because it was a Friday night. Anyway, the walls are not soundproof and you could hear everything. It is not ideal if you come from a very long journey and want to rest.

Liked the character of the building,loved the look from the outside,renovation was nice but still had the original features inside,room was clean & comfortable & i liked how there were so many spaces to explore.Liked how there was a communal area with facilities which led out to a lovely balcony overlooking henley square.

It would have been nice if we could have opened our door onto the balcony.No designated carpark but luckily found a park in a back street.

Fantastic location in nice historic building. Very clean with good bedding and comfy beds. We had a big room with en suite. Had breakfast which was great. We were warned a few times in advance of arriving that Fri/Sat nights would be noisy. That was an understatement! It's "bed shakingly loud", till bang on 2am it all stopped. Now if your a person who'd be down in the bar enjoying the action, it'd be great for you, if you want some sleep Fri/Sat maybe not. I can't t complain, I was warned about the noise numerous times in advance and still chose the Ramsgate. Would I stay at the Ramsgate again, definitely, if it was Sunday to Thursday.

A small premium (more expensive) for a shared bathroom pub/hotel room, but a premium (quality) stay. Nightcap have done a great job updating this old hotel and although the room is small, everything had a deluxe feel to it. Good bed, towels, desk, aircon and artwork on the wall. The welcome drink and free tea/coffee was very nice.

I was next to the male shower room which was fine but could be made quieter if they removed the door lock which was noisy in the middle of the night.
