Really good affordable accommodation in the town centre and close to most attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Didn't have a chance to thank the manager (Peter) for a comfortable stay.

My underground room was beautifully cool, and I appreciated the fan to help cool me off from the sweltering heat topside. However, just a couple of small points. I did not have a bedside table or light. So nowhere to put your watch, mobile phone etc and you have to get out of bed to turn off the only light switch by the door. So you're left in pitch darkness to navigate your way back to bed. Honestly, I'm only nit picking. Nothing would stop me from staying there again.

price was fair, everything was clean (or appeared clean), the location was good and the pictures accurately described the property. The experience of staying underground was a great novelty but may not be to everyones taste.

The motel is dated and sometimes a bit dysfunctional. The shower cubicles need a practical rethink with more hooks or a screen to stop water spray, a toilet on the lower level would be ideal. Some extra grip tape will be necessary on the stairs between the lower level and the toilets (sketchy in thongs). Make sure the fan in your room works while staff are around to help.

Radeka was a hostel that is being renovated into a underground motel. Its a great experience to spend the night underground and to see how this is being accomplished. The room is small as expected with limited furnishings and hadn't been carpeted just yet but it was the budget room. The bed was a double bed but comfortable. The shared facilities are clean and suitable. The owner was an interesting guy to talk to when he checked us in. I would happliy recommend the Radeka to other travellers.

There is a bit of noise from other patrons but not too much.

The location was perfect, right in the middle of town. We were concerned re parking due to the stuff strapped to the back of our rig but parking was great and secure. When you embrace the uniqueness of Coober Pedy, the hotel becomes this exciting, different experience, which we really got into. The room was very clean and the owner, a young man was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

The bed was a little uncomfortable but overall no issues

Location was good, nice communal kitchen facilities for those who wished to cook. Staff and manager were very friendly. Room with shower not fancy but served our needs. Small fridge in room was welcome but tea and coffee making facilities were in the communal kitchen.

Hardly a criticism but be aware : we were there in March with 40 degree days, and the underground room felt a bit stuffy (if you’re not used to that heat), but a decent fan helped cool the skin during the night.

Great way to experience an underground stay without breaking the bank. Excellent shared kitchen space and very helpful staff, perfect location.

Beds not comfortable and it wasn’t clear the toilets/showers are shared unisex. Some rooms didn’t have any shelving or hooks so nowhere to put clothes. I wouldn’t recommend booking through booking.com as I wasn’t the only one to have admin issues, however staff were very accommodating in resolving

Booked the underground room with ensuite. The rooms are not technically "underground", but are more carved or machine cut on the hill/rockface. The room was spacious and had all the amenities listed. Good hot water pressure. FOH was really friendly and welcoming as well. There is a pedestal fan provided in the room in case it gets too hot. If you want to cook something, they do have a separate small kitchen with refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. It is in the town centre and is close to petrol station, Oliver's restaurant and John's pizza. No complaints.

You drive into Coober Pedy for the first time ever and think oh gosh where am I 😂 Then you’re met by Gary to check in and realise this place is super cool and unique! We also met Pete the new owner and just cannot rate the staff and their knowledge enough! Our underground family room was clean and cosy beds were comfy and located super close to everything in the small town. It is a little old and tired but that was part of the charm was absolutely perfect and secure. Thanks Pete can’t wait to see what you do with this place!

Well nothing really

I love the fact you have a kitchen for guests to use and it was incredibly clean. Though I didn't use it there was also a laundry room. 2 things I've not seen in many other motels

I feel some soundproofing of doors might be a good idea. i could hear other guests as if they were in the room with me, so that wasn't overly pleasant when trying to sleep.
