Great location, close to the town of Tanunda and the surrounding wineries. It is definitely the best winery area for foodies. Restaurants are exceptional, but sadly, most are not open Mondays and Tuesdays. Tanunda comes alive from Wednesdays. The room was clean and spacious with modern decor and bathroom fittings. A very comfortable stay.
There was no microwave in the room. We had some leftovers on a Sunday night and we had to eat them cold! The wash basin in the bathroom doubled as a kitchen sink. I am surprised that it is allowed to happen as I have worked in Public Health. It is definitely not safe to be washing dishes in the same sink where you wash your hands after being to the toilet! Fortunately, I had some Glen 20 to disinfect the sink before washing dishes. Also, no detergent was provided to wash the dishes. Again, fortunately, I happened to have some on hand.

Prior to arriving, I had contacted the property, letting them know that it was my wedding anniversary and asking if there was any available upgrade. The receptionist was only too happy to accommodate, and we only paid an additional $40 for a 1-bedroom apartment. I actually didn't know that this room existed, as it was not available on booking.com??? These apartments were tucked away in a separate section on the property, which was very close to the beautiful gardens in front of the restaurant. They had a Tuscan-inspired exterior design. The apartment was lovely with a roomy lounge/kitchen, huge bathroom with double sinks and massive freestanding bath. The bedroom had a king sized bed which was really comfy and the pillows were great as well. The restaurant was lovely; however, $35 for a burger is a little steep. very happy that we came to stay at the hotel.
Rugs or carpet in the apartment would have been really good as the floors were very cold as it is winter. We didnt know that the chips and chocolate were complimentary but then that may have been out fault as we didnt read the card next to it properly. the only other thing was the the shower leaked. Therefore, we had to place the floor mat quite a way fromt the shower to ensure that it didnt get soaked.

For the value the room was exceptional. The supervisor at the restaurant was phenomenal. She is a keeper for sure.
The pork chop my hubby had was turning on its last day. But doesn’t like to complain. And ate most of it. The mushroom gravy didn’t taste like mushrooms. It tasted like a pack did not taste fresh. The potatoes weren’t crispy and broccolini was dry and dull. No seasoning or oil. For the price I expect exceptional food. It’s disappointing when u pay high prices and u could do a way better job at home. However a wonderful amazing lady running the place listened and addressed everything professionally. It’s hard to get good customer service she is a keeper.

Great Location: The hotel is well situated in Tanunda, making it a good base for visiting wineries and attractions around the Barossa Valley. Spacious Room: The room was large and comfortable, with ample space to relax after a day of touring. Clean and Quiet: Everything was clean, and the overall environment was quiet and peaceful—ideal for a restful night. Welcome Gift: We appreciated the complimentary half bottle of local wine in the room—it was a thoughtful touch that reflected the spirit of the region. Excellent price/benefit ratio.
Slow Internet: The Wi-Fi was quite slow, which made it difficult to plan activities or browse reliably. Restaurant Closure: Unfortunately, the hotel’s restaurant was closed on the night of our stay (it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), which was disappointing given the limited dining options nearby on those days. This is something guests should be made clearly aware of when booking. Lack of Full-Length Mirror: The room did not have a large or full-length mirror, which would have been useful, especially for guests getting ready for events or winery visits.

Room was clean and comfortable. Nice new bathroom. Good location for Barossa touring. Breakfast was good and the staff serving were very welcoming and enthusiastic We have stayed here before and probably would again.
The outlook from the room through back windows is essentially onto an overgrown paddock/block. It is not the most attractive view. Upon checkout, no staff were in the reception area. They were busy serving in restaurant. We saw them eventually in the restaurant and they told us just leave keys on the bench. A subsequent debit came through for breakfast on my credit card; it was correct but, in the circumstances, I could not challenge it even if it was not.

Room was very modern, decorated in a boutique hotel style and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Spacious and clean bathroom. The surrounding area was nice and quiet, and close enough to a few dining options. The staff was very friendly and helpful in telling us about the facilities and we were provided with extra crockery and cutlery after requesting it.
2 sets of stairs up to our room, so it's not ideal for those with heavy luggage. Parking wasn't designated so it would fill up at night time and we'd have to park a bit further away from our room (not terribly far, just slightly inconvenient for luggage purposes

“Comfortable Stay in the Heart of the Barossa” I recently stayed at the Barossa Weintal Hotel and had a pleasant experience. The hotel’s location on Murray Street is ideal, placing you within walking distance of several wineries and cellar doors, which is perfect for exploring the Barossa Valley. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable bed and modern amenities. I appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi and the convenience of free parking on-site. Dining at the on-site Angus & Co Bar & Grill was a highlight. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the selection of local wines complemented the meal beautifully. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out processes smooth. Their local knowledge added value to our stay, providing excellent recommendations for nearby attractions. Overall, the Barossa Weintal Hotel offers good value for money and serves as a comfortable base for exploring the region. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Barossa Valley.

Large room, comfortable bed, like the modern updated decor & bathroom, huge TV, fabulous leather couch (can I take it home??). Great touch with the complimentary 1/2 size bottle of Barossa wine - thank you. Easy walk home after dinner in town - took about 20-ish minutes on well-lit & flat footpath.
Needs mirror behind tea/coffee area or behind open hanging space so can use hairdryer or do makeup while another in bathroom. Also helps if you can check your outfit in a longer mirror than the one over basin. Didn't like the noise through the connecting door to room next door (not people we were travelling with). Door construction obviously very flimsy, their talking sounded like they were in the room with us!

The room was clean, comfortable and seemed very modern!
Only downside, we were in room 39 (I assume this could possibly be a joining room with the one next door) and there was a good inch to 3cm gap under the door which meant we were able to hear our neighbours quite easily. I think luckily for both of us it was just a room to stay before the Barossa Marathon so both parties were very quiet. I feel like something should be able to be added to the bottom of the door to block the gap when rooms are being used individually.

Restaurant while a little on the expensive side. It was a lovely place to relax. The food was outstanding and the dessert was amazing. The room for an old style hotel was refurbished and look very modern considering what we paid to stay there. The complimentary minibar was the first time I have ever seen that.
Parking, not having allocated parking spot meant that I had to park away from the room and many trips back and forth for my luggage. Whilst not a huge problem if someone has a disability it would be a hassle for sure.
