Neil and Chris (and Belle) are great hosts and we were very warmly welcomed upon our arrival. The cottage is gorgeous and everything you need has been thought of. The wine and nibbles were a lovely touch and a special treat. The breakfast provisions were plentiful, including a choice of cereals, fresh eggs, bacon and tomatoes and great bread. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious with a very good shower. The sitting room was also very comfortable and the fire another bonus. The cottage is in a great location for visiting many of the wonderful small family owned wineries in McLaren Vale. Out three nights at the cottage were special.

This was a lovely historical accommodation in Willunga - a quiet little town in the McLaren Vale wine region. Neil met us at the gate and gave us a quick tour of the property. The welcome cheese, strawberries and crackers along with a bottle of wine was a nice surprise and the breakfast provided was excellent. The cottage is well appointed with everything you would need for a short stay and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfy. The cottage is quite private.

Nothing really - perhaps some extra rubbish bags but I am sure we would have got them if we asked.

The cottage was lovely, and in a convenient walking distance to most things! Neil and Chris were very accommodating - plenty of firewood during our stay, even sorted the kindling prior to our arrival! Loved the little touches of flowers/herbs, and the cheese platter on arrival. Very generous hosts!

The blanket wasn’t warm enough, especially for winter. Other than that we liked everything!

Main reason for our stay was to ride the Shiraz trail, so being at the start of the trail, the location was perfect. Host Neil met us on arrival and was friendly. Welcome bottle of wine and nibbles was great as was the breakfast provisions. Rooms were spacious enough, in particular the bedroom and the bathroom which included a 2 person spa. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Kitchen was well equipped including a coffee machine (capsules).

With the bedroom located at the front of the property, some traffic noise from road could be heard. Maybe be an issue for light sleepers especially late at night and early morning. Also the bed was a little on the soft side for my liking.

Beautifully appointed. Large comfortable bed. Wine and platter on arrival was a wonderful touch after the drive from Melbourne. A very romantic and luxurious experience. Proximity to the beautifully historic Willunga and broader Maclaren Vale wine region was exceptional.

That we had to leave.

Quaint cottage, lovely décor and well supplied breakfast and amenities. Quiet and the owner's were friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely break away and will go and stay again some day.

Nothing really, close to the shops, vineyard's etc,

Lovely historic cottage, nice furnished and with nice touches of fresh flowers and herbs. A happy hour plate of snacks and bottle of wine greeted us., along with provisions for a hearty breakfast. We were able to walk to fine dining and the town.

Everything was lively!

Very thoughtful hosts with breakfast options provided. The cottage was comfortable with considered decoration. Great location within easy reach of the town’s amenities and it felt very private despite being so conveniently located.

It was absolutely wonderful, love the old heritage feel and smells, with that little bit of Dutch charm and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, so comfortable, beautiful little slice of heaven. Neil & Chris have done an amazing job with this gem 😊❤️

a nice assortment of cereals and nibbles etc + a bottle of wine. Well equipped kitchen.

Spa Bath had a layer of dust. Great Shower but suffered from a small bath mat (probably a hand towel).
