Chris the host was super friendly, location was great. Waking in the morning with a wonderful view of Mt Macedon through the garden was a great surprise. The sun warmed the room while we ate a wonderful breakfast prepared by Chris. Room was a great size, well heated, very comfortable and private. Macedon is a sleepy town, not far from Gisborne where food choices are excellent.

Very comfy bed, and the bath was the best! Full cooked breakfast included in the tariff was exceptional - loved having this at the little dining table in our room! Beautiful quiet location out-of-town, with pretty garden views out of all the big windows. Owner on site and very helpful.

Hubby a bit sad re no WiFi, haha. Also fun finding the place in the dark.

Chris was welcoming, efficient and caring. She even ironed our clothes in preparation for the wedding we attended. We enjoyed a substantial, tasty breakfast in our comfortable room! Hollyhock is close to cafes, a bakery and general store! Such a picturesque area!

Fantastic B&B - so relaxing and had a beautiful outlook onto the gardens. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - our host was so lovely and welcoming. Such a nice peaceful location but still close to the surrounding towns. Very comfortable bed, and lovely big windows.

Wonderful stay and loved every moment of it. Chris the host was lovely and welcoming, and did amazing breakfast. Loved the king suite with the spa! Short drive to Mount Macedon. Absolutely beautiful and feels very country like only 1 hour from Melbourne.

My only minor complaint would be there are no streetlights at night when you're walking locally but thankfully the location is awesome and only 5 minutes walk from amenities and a local restaurant.

It was an incredibly beautiful location with views to die for. The room itself had a wonderful, cozy vibe and included all necessities for a short stay. Chris was an incredible hostess with a knack for hospitality and cooking brekky!

Chris was a friendly but not intrusive host and provided a delicious and generous breakfast . Our room was well appointed and had spots to relax and unwind overlooking the beautiful garden . A very comfortable bed and quiet location meant we slept soundly and woke refreshed . Yet it was close , walking distance, to the main street cafes and restaurant and allowed us to do walks from the house . A short drive to Mt Macedon for some more lovely bushwalks and cafes.

We liked everything about our one night stay at Hollyhock (except the weather which was quite miserable unfortunately). The room was a good size, well maintained, and lovely and cosy, with both ducted heating controlled from the main house and an independent R/C AC, as well as heat lamps in the bathroom!! The views of the garden were really nice from the enclosed verandah, which also let in plenty of light despite the gloomy day outside. There was a DVD player as well as Netflix and guest Wifi available for use. Chris was a lovely host, she welcomed us on check in, cooked us up an amazing breakfast the following morning, and caught up with us before we headed off to make sure our stay had been enjoyable.

Our room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed on the comfortable window seats looking out to the garden. Room well equipped.

Parking was a little difficult and the 8 steps up to the verandah have the potential to be difficult when wet.

Chris was a wonderful host. The room with ensuite was lovely. The bed was so comfy and the facilities were great. In the morning we had a beautifully cooked breakfast that was included in our stay. We will definitely be back. 10/10.
