Location is top notch as we have to leave 4am for airport check in. Gym and pool were fantastic. Room is spacious enough.

I would never expected that the cups to have lipstick stained on both. This is 4 stars hotel. The standard of cleanlines should not be below average.

Great location close to the airport. The restaurant served good meals. Had good facilities including a gym and pool. Would stay there again. Could not hear any noise from the planes.

Fantastic location right next to the airport. No need for a shuttle bus - just a walk across the connecting walkway. A well appointed hotel with good food and facilities. Very close to car hire - just on the ground floor. Nice indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The room service was almost non existent. Even pushing the room service button in the room didn’t necessarily result in anyone coming to clean the room. Follow up to lost/missing items was also disappointing - again, probably because it involved the ‘outsourced’ room service people. Not what you’d expect from the PARKROYAL. Definitely a different standard of service.

The hotel is so close to the airport - super convenient - making it worth staying there for that reason alone. The other inconveniences don’t outweigh that simple convenience although they did make an attempt to… Dinner was expensive but the food was really good. Cocktails were horrifying expensive and nothing special at all. The room was comfortable but what hotel doesn’t supply hair conditioner? Seriously! Until you get in the shower you don’t see there is none - yikes! Also the bathroom tap is a foot away from the sink so you can’t help getting water everywhere when turning off the tap e v e r y t i m e you use it. On arrival I checked the guest folio and noticed a charge that didn’t belong to me - reception cleared it but not before lecturing me on not triggering charges by touching things - yes but I didn’t touch anything! No apology just a mini lecture. Now I always think you can tell a lot of about a hotel by it’s breakfast service. Unfortunately, the breakfast service staff were disappointing and their inexperience somewhat detracted from the overall enjoyment of a leisurely breakfast before a long flight.

The room was gigantic, and very nicely appointed. I found the bed very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again for its proximity to the airport, it was super convenient to be flying out the next morning.

The only issue I had was trying to actually get to the hotel! It was very difficult, I was being dropped off and my driver and I could not work out how to actually get from the carpark to the hotel elevators. It was super confusing, and we had to go through three (!) barricaded gates one of which we waited at for I think about 10 minutes waiting for someone to answer. Eventually we had to ask someone at the car rental places, it was ridiculous. This REALLY should be explained in the introductory emails.

We only stayed at the hotel for 6 hours until our next flight. It's literally 2 minutes away from the airport, which makes it optional for travelers. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the premises are really impressive, since there is no annoying sound even if the planes fly over the hotel every once in a while. I didn't use the restaurant this year, but from my experience last year the food was really good and worth the wait.

I stayed there last year too and I've noticed that the room was less clean this year. Also, last year we had complimentary water bottles but this year we had to pay 6 dollars.

We have stayed here a few times for early flights but never eater at the restaurant. The food was excellent, I had a steak which I had not a high expectation for being an airport hotel. But I was pleasantly surprised. It was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had! The hotel was, as always, clean, comfortable and accommodating.

The car park instructions and payment process was very confusing and even the instructions the staff gave us upon entry, when we arrived home and attempted to exit the car park, they didn't work. We had to phone at the boom gate for assistance and that took a while for someone to answer.

We used this room for a short lay over between domestic and early international flight - I think rooms specifically for this purpose would be a good idea - ie we needed a bed and toilet nothing else. A service where you didn't waste linen would be smart especially if it was cheaper - I felt bad that all the towels etc would have to be washed when we didn't need them. As we arrived late at night and renovations were taking place it was a bit hard to find the entrance and the foyer smelt like wet carpet which was off putting - luckily the room was good. Being able to select a room with no bar (and then reduce the admin) and number of towels would be good for a location like this. We are too old for camping in the departure lounge but a short stay ie under 8 hours option would be good.

Parking. Car park undergoing maintenance. Not hotel’s fault , but melb airport park was a disaster. Was advised by hotel staff to park on level 3 but was quite a long and not direct walk to get to hotel. So after check out I left my 90 yr old mum on level 2 (outside hotel lifts), to wait there whilst I fetched the car. I then could not get the car anywhere near there to collect her . Total disaster Re car park !!!! Luckily, a lovely ground staff lady walked her to the only working lifts and brought her down to level 1 to meet me , but this was after 15 mins of me trying to access any part of carpark near the lifts .

I loved everything! From the location which is so close to the airport to the restaurant and bar. Our nachos was excellent as was our breakfast which they brought to our room as we had a very early flight out. The pool and sauna were sensational. The steam room was not working properly (way too hot and dangerous), but the rest was perfect so just didn't use it. Loved the staff as they were all so friendly. Our room was huge and bed super comfy. Definitely will be back!

The steam room was not working properly. When you turned it on it was so steamy and hot that it was not safe to use. We used the sauna instead plus the pool/spa, so we were happy.
