Airport shuttle is free and runs 24 hours a day on demand. We phoned the hotel once we had retrieved our luggage and the shuttle bus was there within 15 minutes. As an added bonus, there is a car hire company in the carpark right next to the hotel, where the shuttle bus drops off. We were only in Melbourne for a day and rather than go back to the airport to hire a car, we were able to depart right from the hotel location. Finally, we were given a refurbished room which was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor there and in the communal spaces was very smart and tasteful.

The room we were allocated had been refurbished. It was beautiful with large comfy bed and crisp clean sheets. To make it even better it had a spa bath. Shuttle was very efficient in the morning,you don’t book. Food in the restaurant in the evening and as good. Reception team were very cheerful.

I only marked it down to 9 because no matter what we did with the aircon it was still roasting hot in the room. It was on the double icicle sign but still pumped out hot air. Apparently it happened after the refurbishment. There’s a fault. We had an early flight and long day ahead of us. Staying at the hotel gave us a later start.After a long restless night tossing and turning with very little sleep from the heat we were shattered. It negated having the later start staying at the hotel to make life easier.

During my stay at the Manta Tullamarine, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lara, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful she was. From the moment I checked in, she greeted me with such warmth and a genuine smile that instantly made me feel at home. She wasn’t just polite and professional—she had this incredible sense of humor that made every interaction feel personal and uplifting. It’s not every day you come across someone who truly loves what they do, but Lara’s passion for great customer service was evident in every little detail. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. Her kindness and positive energy turned a great stay into an unforgettable one. If you’re considering staying at the Manta Tullamarine, I can wholeheartedly say that Lara’s exceptional service will make your visit even more special. She’s the kind of person who leaves a lasting impression, and I’m so grateful to have met her!

That there was no smokers lounge and the TV could be upgraded to allow you to cast.

The Hotel was close to the airport and the very accomodating shuttle service was often, secure and very friendly drivers. The room was good, and suited our needs perfectly. The hotel has everything. A good restaurant, to have any meals or a cold beer after walking all day. Was lovely and very helpful to have meet Linda, from the Restaurant she went beyond her way to help us use the public transport to see Melbourne from another perspective. So thank you Linda and everyone from the shuttle service who drives us for making our stay special. We hope you have a great year ahead! 😉

We had a last-minute flight cancellation, so we unexpectedly had to stay overnight in Melbourne. We managed to get a room at the Mantra. The staff were very helpful. They organised a free shuttle from the airport and gave us a free voucher to get back to the airport. On arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful, locating toothbrushes for us to use, and they also gave us 2 free drinks. The room was very clean, the bathroom spacious and the king bed very comfortable. The spa bath was nice and deep, and the water was nice and hot. There are a couple of cafes nearby, including a new one at the Essendon training fields which are only a few hundred metres from the hotel. If you are an Essendon fan, there is a Hall of Fame and Glory as well as a shop selling Essendon clothing, etc. Of course, these can be avoided if you aren't an Essendon fan!

It would have been nice to have a kettle and coffee and tea bags in the room. I had to pay for 2 cups of tea.

We had a fantastic experience at the Mantra, thanks to their exceptional service and amenities. After a last-minute booking due to a change in our flight plans, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and meet our needs as a family. They welcomed us warmly and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The facilities were excellent, with a pool, spa, gym, and restaurant to keep everyone entertained for hours. The complimentary airport shuttle was convenient, with car seats provided for the kids, making our trip to the airport stress-free. We couldn’t recommend the Mantra more – they truly made our stay memorable!

Cleanliness and comfort of the room was perfect, I slept for a solid 9 hrs, rooms are quiet , restaurant is okay efficient and an okay range of standard meals.

For any international traveller the breakfast was very very limited . No cuisines beyond standard bogan Australia. At any other international destination there would be provision for other cuisines, I was very surprised to not see even a basic rice or noodle dish, many Asian countries eat a substantial meal for breakfast . The entire menu for morning and evening is very limited and o my caters for Australian travellers

We arrived late at midnight and needed a night to stay before continuing our trip the next day. Great hotel with convenient airport pick-up and close to car rental hubs within walking distance. Would have been great if we got instructions on the airport pick-up prior to arrival. I had logged an enquiry before landing in Melbourne but was told that I had to call them upon arrival, which was a bit tricky as we didn't have an Australian phone number. Breakfast was great, although the coffee left much to be desired.

Check in service by Mitchell was exceptional. He went above & beyond when we arrived after midnight due to our flight being delayed then cancelled. Our Booking.com booking was rejected by the computer due to our post midnight booking. He sorted it out, then provided us with breakfast boxes, water & snacks as we'd missed dinner, and were departing again at 4.45am, so also missing breakfast service. He was calm under pressure, which also calmed us, as we were originally told upon arrival that we didn't have a booking. He covered all bases, explaining about the free shuttle bus for our very early morning departure. Well done Mitchell! Thank you.

It went okay and is changed from Mar, April this year. Needing to ensure you have a voucher to get on the shuttle important. Being able to have a swim in pool was good and being able to get a light meal at any time is was good.

Clarification about breakfast and final costs to be taken care of. The breakfast was a given from the Booking.com booking, which stated Breakfast Provided, then which breakfast is provided, continental or cooked. New staff at desk didn't seem to know. Also admin at front desk need to be updated on what is paid for and what is not - Taking a bond off the CREDIT CARD needs to be stated at the time of booking - wasn't a problem 'but travellers don't like financial surprises". I'm very clear on my payments and always seem to find I have to check the costs, an invoice is always provided and that is good. Thank you.
