This is a standard 60’s, family run, old fashioned motel. It is nicely maintained with a renovated, very nice bathroom with a huge basin top to set your cosmetics bag on (with room to spare), and a fantastic light and mirror!! We had a twin room so the beds were good but more kid oriented. The heating was wonderful, great tv and wifi. The best advantage is the location! It really is the best location if you want to take the train or tram into the city and are coming in from the west, (and have had enough of Melbourne traffic)! The train station is right across the road and manned! Yes! You heard correct! You can buy a card and load it without dealing with apps that don’t work and machines that make you crazy! It is on a main road but we did not hear any traffic noise.

The website could be improved, we would have preferred a double bed and a single or a connecting room, but couldn’t find the option on the website. The walls are a bit thin and the person next to us was really sick and coughed night and day which was annoying. But it is an older motel and our room had a connecting door, so avoid that room.

The room and beds were clean, comfortable and met all our needs. The air conditioning helped us extremely in managing the heat. The room came with free wifi, although spotty at times, as well as tea and biscuits. The fridge and toaster were extremely useful to us for storing and preparing small food. Very good room for the price we paid.

Preparing food did lure some small ants but they were not a big deal.

When you're on holiday and already exhausted, a warm smile and welcoming atmosphere makes a big difference. I really appreciate Peter and Kathy for going above and beyond. Allowing us to check in earlier and checking on us if we need something. Peter was really good and patient with my kids . I appreciate your kindness. Thank you. We had a wonderful stay. We got the family room and the beds are comfy. Will definitely be booking again when holidaying in Melbourne.

Great location, close to shops and cafes and public transport. Our room was set back from main road so not much traffic noise.

Having to carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs to our room. Our room had a door to an adjoining room which made noise from the next room very loud. The couple next to us were arguing and it was like they were right in our room.

I recently had a wonderful stay in Tasmania. The accommodations were exceptional, offering clean and comfortable rooms with all necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. The locations were perfect, providing easy access to local attractions and beautiful scenery. Overall, a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting Tasmania.

Location, free parking, awesome helpful staff. Easy to find, close to Freeway and DFO, as well as nearby shops and restaurants. Tram across the road, just a great spot to base if you're in Melbourne and have a Myki card, ready to jump on the tram!

The rooms were a little dated but completely acceptable. Some people might be more precious than us, but it was a comfy, safe bed for the night and we loved our little adventure in the 'big smoke'.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the location is prime for what we were doing down there

Location was perfect for the purpose of our visit. Tram and train easily accessible and very easy walk to a choice of shopping sites.

Noise very noticeable from next door unit as our rooms had an adjoining door which let sound through easily.

The room was perfect for what we needed it for. The staff we interacted with were really friendly. It was a great location, close to a tram stop and train station, and a few cafe's/restaurants were just a short walk away. Would stay again if I need to be in that part of the city.

TV reception was a little glitchy but we didn't have time to use it much anyway
