1. The staff are friendly and kind. The other day we wanted to visit Victoria Market but the staff told us it was Australia Day and it was closed. She was reallly helpful. 2. There was a public area where people can meet, which also provides a microwave oven, a dishwasher, and some coffee for free. Unlucky, we didn't have a chance to meet other people, they look quite busy. 3. The location is perfect. Train station and bus station are just around. Coles is ten minutes to walk.

The bed, however, is a bit narrow. It is moveable, with wheels at the bottom, so the bed moves occasionally.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly. Very conveniently located opposite the train station, it’s only a short commute to the CBD. The tab area is a bonus for me, as I enjoy the races and watching the footy on the other tv is an added extra.If you like to play the pokies there is plenty of them too. It has its own bistro with a good selection of meals. All in all, it’s my go to place to stay in Melbourne ( Essendon).

I loved the cleanliness the shower and toilet block the kitchen and lounge room everything was spotless fresh clean thoroughly enjoyable place to stay I book for one night and it’s been three nights so far and the staff are so helpful and beautiful people. I will most definitely be back here for peace and quiet and friendly staff and patrons for just a bit of time out and different scenery from the western suburbs. Great location, nice renovated pub. With free parking in the back. Caught the train to city,station right opp hotel. Meals, staff and decor did thier best to please. Modern clean fully equipped rooms. Sharded bathrooms also modern and user friendly. Free coffee, tea and food servery upstairs. Has a lift to your 1st floor room. I found the place cosy, modern funky decor with everything the busy traveller would expect. I will stay here again, a short drive from Essendon.

I wouldn't call this a holiday destination hotel or anything like that, but for a clean, comfortable stay a short distance from Melbourne airport, well serviced by public transport, and reasonably close to the CBD it is perfect. Anywhere else I would have said it was expensive for what it was, but given the prices of other hotels the same distance or closer to the airport, it was reasonable as these are very expensive in Melbourne.

Very limited parking - we did park at the train station (a very short walk) instead which technically you arent supposed to do, but being a Sunday night & that we were leaving before 5am the Monday morning, it didnt pose an issue.

Well equipped and well thought out. This hotel was great for a traveller on a budget especially for work just needing a safe and comfortable place to stay. Facilities like the laundry equipped with washing powder, the communal area with microwave, boiled water and milk, and the well lit parking area made my stay so convenient. The rooms and areas were always clean, bed super comfy and proper shower! Really enjoyed my stay and will be back in the future.

close proximity to ice-cream, a shop that doesn't sell bagels and essendon railway station. pleasant walks through neighbouring suburbs. the stunningly dressed women at Flemington racecourse made night life into day. 💞 xcx

A very clean modern Hotel, the rooms are upstairs, has a lift, rooms have all the comforts TV, bar fridge, big comfy beds. The Essendon Train station is opposite, free parking on site or the Park n ride carpark. I had a beef burger for dinner in the Bistro was delicious and15% off meals. Check inn is seamless, very friendly staff. It's a Nightcap Hotel, book direct and save$

If your room faces the Train Station, it can be noisy. Otherwise, its good for a short stay.

Thin walls mean all noise from the corridor and doors could be heard It would be nice if there was at least a sink in the room, having to traipse to the bathroom to wash hands was annoying No privacy glass or net on window that looked out over a road I paid a lot for this room but I think that's because I stayed during the Taylor Swift concerts in Melbourne

Always a delight. Management should definitely pay these hard working, helpful humans much more. Nothing was too much trouble. And the food was excellent. For older folks, choose one of the two queen studios to have your own ensuite, one of which is Room 10 which has disability aids, such as a shower bench and hand rails.
