The Parkmore was an excellent choice from the tram stopp practically on the door step with a short stroll to the shops in Brunwick. The front desk staff were lovely to speak with and very helpful in making me feel settled and comfortable in my surroundings. The restaurant was an extra bonus with wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. I was surprised by how comfortable and super fresh the room was. The bathroom was a little tight but that was the least of my concerns. Super confortable bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Have already suggested the Parkmore to colleagues and family when needing to stay in Melbourne as it is just a short tram ride from the CBD and walking 200 metre walk to where I needed to be on the day. Parkmore Hotel is definitely a hidden gem

It was easy to get to by car, but travellers who drive need to remember if they are coming from Sydney or Bendigo side that there are no right turns on Royal Parade. It was a very minor issue. The space was very comfortable and the staff at both reception and the restaurant were wonderful.

The shower water pressure was low. But. The hotel is going through refurbishment, so im sure that will resolve itself in the future. The fridge in the room was too small for my needs. Again, it's a minor concern.

The Parkmore is fast turning into THE chosen place we stay at on our regular visits to Melbourne. A sometimes quirky place, still undergoing renovations, there are a number of stand out features, including: 1. the helpfulness of the staff, each of whom is an asset to their employer, and 2. the accessability to the city, the university, Brunswick, Carlton, etc. Will stay again at The Parkmore, without hesitation.

On the first night of this trip, there was a constant loud thrumming in the roof (heating? hot water?); to their absolute credit, the staff listened to my report and immediately offered to switch rooms. I appreciate their professionalism. The cleaning service sometimes arrived mid-afternoon; again, to their credit, at my request the cleaners began to arrive earlier each day (thank you!).

The swimming pool is cold, but it look RELAX atmosphere like a Resort even under renovations .It was very NICE and CHEAP rates for location and facilities. I hope that rates of Parkmore Hotel won't go up too much after renovations completed. I wish stay 1 more time @ this Hotel in The near future for longer stat to sit in front of swimming pool to RELAX next time

The Parkmore Hotel is such a delightful, idiosyncratic place ... it has its quirks but these are more than made up for by the outstanding staff, who are always happy to accommodate requests (I left some of my luggage -- 2 oversized items -- for a few days, and hugely appreciated being able to do so; my request for a room change was quickly expedited, which I was also genuinely thankful for). We live overseas, and are semi-regularly in Melbourne; the Parkmore is fast becoming our first choice of place to stay while in town.

Convenient location, exceptionally well priced, friendly & courteous staff, great view out of floor to ceiling windows, overall was above my expectations if a place that is rated only 2.5 stars.

Perhaps security of the place could be better as you could walk in through the side carpark and access any floor plus the front entrance doors seem to be open 24 hours and would not be suitable for someone say in a domestic violence situation or seeking accommodation to avoid someone for whatever reason. Only one washing machine & dryer. Also would of been good if the pool was an indoor pool or they had a spa bath room. Also maybe a built in wardrobe or closet space would of been better but there was a sufficient shelving and hanging portable space.

Bed very comfortable. Rooms soundproofed which was good. Had a lovely view overlooking Royal Park & Royal Parade. Lots of bench space in the room which was good for both working & storage.

Shower ok but water pressure could have been stronger. 2 double beds in the room, but only 1 chair!! Carpark gates & front door closed at midnight - no notice of this until I arrived back from my function at 1.00am to find I couldn't get in! Swipe card access at front door didn't work. Fortunately, the AH phone number did work and a staff member appeared promptly to let me in and was friendly with it - so not really bad, but a better signage and AH system would help.

I've have been, very happy with this place, with location, easy access to the city. I've stayed here, at least 7 times My only issue, recently they don't have kitchen heating up food area anymore. They did have one downstairs. And later they had room with microwaves and toasters and the rooms, only have jug, and no toaster or microwave, which are more handy then a prong board lol. I rather a toaster, them ironing board or a ironing room But microwave and toaster are essential But this is comfortable and great location

No cooking facilities

Our room was very clean, faced ikon park. Beds were comfy. Overall was happy with our room. The swimming pool was good, but the weather was on the cool side so we didn't really use it. Moja Duck restaurant which is adjoined was amazing. 10 minute walk to Melbourne Zoo and A few minutes walk to Tram into city. 24 hr reception, and they kept our bags for us when we checked out so we could have breakfast before the flight. Price was really good, especially being holidays and AO

Our key sometimes took alot of tries to open our door. Not enough coffee and sugar in room. It's advertised that breakfast is available and when we checked in were told yes breakfast is provided..but when we came down to have breakfast there was nothing there. We stayed 4 nights and there was never breakfast. We did go to a Cafe though so not a huge deal, we just thought we could have it at the hotel

Location is good if you have anything to do in The University of Melbourne. The room size is good enough for two persons. Staff are good and the Chinese restaurant is excellent with reasonable price.

The shower place is too close to the toilet and makes the floor wet after taking a bath. A bit noisy if there is any poolside activities.
