We often stay at the hotel. The location is excellent and rooms are very clean.

Our room was near the lift and was a bit noisy in the morning with the cleaners coming on and off the lift. Also needed a car spot and left our car out the front whilst checking as instructed as car spaces are scarce and upon availability.A man checking in next to me had driven in to the car park taken a spot, this person had not pre requested a park, we had requested one weeks before when booked. Needless to say he got the last spot! I feel pre requested parking should be prioritised over walk ins. He was a very loud demanding customer and I feel that the parking policy was not applicable to him for that reason. Parking in nearby car park was ok but a bit of a pain.

Amazing staff, from front desk to cleaning, all members of the staff are nice, friendly, ready to help. Rooms have a good size, clean and well maintained. The small swimming pool was the joy of the kids in the heat of the end of summer. For me it was extremely useful to have access to washing machine and dryer and i was slightly stressed seeing that they work based on coins but ... the front desk staff is prepared and they can change bills in coins for their guests. This is the first hotel where they are so well prepared in supporting the customers.

Nothing to dislike

The reception staff was super friendly and she gave very useful advice on traveling in Mel: like what places to go, how to take the transport there. The room is also very clean and spacious. It is a quiet neighborhood around the hotel, but you could also easily reach a street full of nice restaurants in 5 mins. If you want to go to the city. It is only a 10-15mins walk if you don't want to buy a Myki card (transportation card) for the local transport. 5mins only to the closest tram station too.

The interior style might be a bit old-style but not creepy. The sink in the bathroom is quite small.

Great location for walking to restaurants, public transport wasn’t too far away, good coffee close by, easy walk to supermarket. My daughter loved the pool. The temperature of the pool water was great. Was nice to stay in a quieter area compared to right in the city.

Not a big problem for us - but the tv was not great. Could only access free to air channels and the guide wouldn’t allow us to see what was on. I tried connecting my phone to screen share and the tv wouldn’t show up to connect. Very small bathroom which was fine for us but I could imagine it would be a tight squeeze for some people. Paying $30 a day for parking - seems expensive.

Staff are courteous and the breakfast is nice. We ordered off the menu when we were there as I suppose there wasn’t enough guests for the buffet. The location is great as slightly out of cbd and nice and quiet. Parking was available this time at $30 a night which is good value compared to other parking options in the area. Toilet wasn’t clean for this stay and there were ants in the tea but otherwise room clean so would stay again especially if I can get a deal like this time. Pool looks ok but didn’t get a chance to get in. Will definitely stay again as family friendly and good location.

Dirty toilet this stay

The hotel is located outside the CBD in a quiet neighbourhood, but it is only three or four tram stops to the CBD. So, it is outside the hustle and bustle of a city. Several restaurants are nearby, and the Woolworths supermarket is a few minutes walk. The rooms are clean and of good size, and the beds are comfy as well. One of their staff members, I believe her name is Therese, was very accommodating to our needs, which we appreciate.

It's outside the free tram zone, so you must pay whenever you visit the CBD. A few fixes here and there: 1. The bathroom door does not lock in our room. 2. There's quite a gap in the main door of our room where cold air and light would seep in.

Very clean with all amenities you’d expect from a hotel, rooms were quiet and appreciated the block out curtains. Pool looks great and the lobby was well decorated for Christmas, adds a personal touch. Front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. Cooked breakfast was à la carte for our stay so very fresh, great fruit and pastry options. Could add a self service coffee/tea area as coffee is additional. Location is great, close enough to cbd and Docklands without busyness of staying in cbd. We used clock tower parking as parking at hotel fully booked. this would be a great spot for families visiting Melbourne, have already booked our next stay. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Unbelievable value compared to cbd prices considering breakfast quality, location, cleanliness etc. this is a bit of a hidden gem.

Been coming here 30yrs, always try booking as location, price and amenities very good. If any problems occur staff excellent. My only two gripes are, now paying for car parking and the refusal by staff to swap notes for coins so you can use the laundry.

Great location, good value, great staff, room very clean and comfy, availability of parking.

I found the very small size of the bathroom vanity was annoying. Never had one of those tiny basins in any previous motels/hotels in which I have booked. Seems a short cut cost reduction strategy that was really irritating for me as a guest. A strange decision given there was plenty of room in the bathroom for the usual sized vanity basin.
