I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mercure Melbourne Therry Street, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel’s prime location at 43 Therry Street places it within a short walking distance of the iconic Queen Victoria Market, offering guests easy access to fresh produce and a vibrant shopping atmosphere. Additionally, the proximity to tram stations and the University of Melbourne makes it an ideal choice for both tourists and business travelers. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the reception staff, whose friendly and professional demeanor set the tone for my stay. Check-in was prompt, and the staff were more than willing to assist with inquiries and transportation arrangements, making me feel truly welcomed. My room on the 10th floor provided a picturesque view of Victoria Market. The space was both clean and spacious, featuring a comfortable queen bed, a functional work desk, and a cozy armchair with a footrest. The inclusion of a kitchenette equipped with a microwave allowed for convenient in-room dining, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. One of the standout features of this hotel is its commitment to cleanliness and comfort. The room was meticulously maintained, and the bed provided a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom, though compact, was modern and featured a shower with excellent water pressure. The hotel’s location is truly unbeatable. Being just a stone’s throw away from Queen Victoria Market allowed me to indulge in fresh produce and local delicacies effortlessly. Moreover, the nearby tram station made exploring Melbourne’s CBD and other attractions incredibly convenient. In conclusion, my stay at Mercure Melbourne Therry Street was marked by comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a centrally located accommodation with top-notch amenities and a welcoming atmosphere.

Good bed and shower, they do have a special discount to park your car in the parking behind the building that has access to the elevator of the hotel but you need to ask the voucher for it, this parking makes easier for luggage and I felt safe for parking. Hotel is steps from Victoria market and easy to walk around CBD.

When I arrive I asked for extra pillows and the front desk said no, said that every room has 4 and that’s it.. then I insisted and he said the house keeping was closed due to be after 5pm in the weekend, he wasn’t very helpful. But because I insisted he put my name down to give to me next day, but all other people working there were pretty helpful (I think was just this one employee working when I checked in that could use some training on customer service).

Close proximity to Queen Victoria Markets. Close proximity to tram stops. Easy tram access to other parts of the city. Friendly obliging staff. Very good value for money.

Would have preferred heavier curtains or drapes which could be drawn closed when desired for better privacy at night. Existing sheer curtains do allow the possibility of snooping by onlookers in other facing buildings although these are located some distance away and would have to be deliberate.

How close it was to everything. And perfect for just staying a night or 2. Easy to navigate everything was clean. No smells, minimal noise from the outside too.

The only thing I could fault was the bathroom sink took awhile to drain. But I have found that is a common thing in various places I have stayed. And we were told we could park on a certain level of the car park to access the hotel elevator without having to walk around the block, but the majority of the car park spaces on that level were all privately owned, but it didn't both us, plus tuoubgot discounts onnthe parking from the hotel.

We were able to check in early and the staff was very accommodating! also could not find my key card late at night and again the staff was very accommodating and helped me out late hours of the night.

Location, have stayed at Mercure Welcome Melbourne before and i felt like in-terms of location it was better! was disappointed with the lack of public transport options to the airport itself, seemed to be quite far.

excellent value, great location, I found it comfy enough for what it was, nice to have a kitchenette to make life simpler, nice friendly staff. No fuss basic accommodation.

The old place is getting a bit tired & needs a lot of work ...the way it is advertised ( coffee machine etc) is definitely not the way it actually is so be prepared. Dark in the shower so a light could be good.

Fabulous location, great to wake up early and walk outside to the Queen Victoria Markets for a hot Crossiant. Lots of great eateries nearby and it's all a downhill walk for the shops! ( free tram for the way home!) Quiet, clean and comfortable. The room has a kitchenette which is handy. Shower, quick hot water. My 8th stay here over as many years.

Staff were friendly and very helpful, gave us information on the markets that is located right across from the property, cleaners were friendly, the room was comfortable, overall such a good experience for my first time in Melbourne.

Only things were that the heat pump remote wasn’t working properly at times and a certain elevator is a bit slow

The staff is super helpful. The view from the room was good. The rooms are cleaned every day. The room was bigger than I expected which definitely raised the value for me. Awesome location.

There was no toilet brush in the bathroom. The A/C was not strong enough for the room.
