The room and bathroom were huge, the bathroom was accessible, though I didn't ask for that. It was clean with a huge window across one wall, and the curtains actually blocked out the light. I liked the decor, the room and bathroom looked nice. It was pretty quiet for the location, near Victoria Market, I couldn't really hear traffic at all. Had all facilities I needed. Bed was very comf and pillows were decent. Staff friendly and helpful. Will return.

The aircon was a bit loud but not too bad. A couple was having a massive argument in the hall, I called reception and it stopped shortly after so I assume they fixed it. The carpet was a bit warped in one area, maybe a bit of a trip hazard, but nothing major.

Nothing really EXCEPT the car park !!! We paid $29/day and it should be secure and safe to park there BUT ... In Reality it's not . Car park @ the Queen Victoria market was not safe even though the CCTVs are in place (not sure are they working or not) The first night our car got broken in even though we locked the car. How did we know because we saw a can of coke was left in the car and things got rank sacked ... Our GPS , one torchlight and a bag of snacks (maybe the person thought the bag was full of gold bars or cash) got stolen. Super annoying and almost ruined our stay in Melbourne very very unhappy with that.

The location of the hotel was absolutely brilliant - located right next to the Victoria Markets and easy walking distance to the rest of the Melbourne CBD and even Carlton (Lygon Street). Also falls within the free tram zone. The room was clean, large and comfortable. Toiletries were provided ( very nice, smelled amazing) and the servicing of the room was great - cleaned every day, with the occasional towel change (where required). Staff were friendly and very helpful.

My only suggestion would be for including at least one more piece of furniture - like an armchair/ extra chair - for the room. There was a desk and chair provided, but it would have been nice to have another chair, just so we don't have to always sit on the bed if we wanted to sit down. The room was spacious enough for an additional chair so I would highly suggest that. I know this is not always possible in hotels, but the ability to possibly crack a window/ door for some fresh air would also have been more welcome. We did have our room overlooking the inner courtyard ( which was a beautiful sight) and had a 'balcony door' but it was locked so we couldn't even open it. Again, a minor detail. This was overall, a great hotel.

The deep 2nd floor balcony overlooking Elizabeth Street was wonderful. It was deep enough to feel confortable and to extend the room space, and close enough to Elizabeth Street to feel the buzz of the city. With balcony door closed it was quiet enough to sleep. The location near the markets and all nearby eateries , practical things like an a supermarket and chemist and trams just outside made it all easy.

A number of things needed maintenance, small things but they changed the feel of the room. Not enough to make us unhappy, just to take a little of the shine off.

Staff were very friendly most of the time, Location is awesome, Room size was huge, Private balcony would have been great if it had heating, Having two beds was great, Free bottle of wine for my birthday and extra toiletries were nice, not that I drink wine but it was appreciated,

Shower leaked lots of water on the floor and had mould in cracks The balcony was too cold to use during July Need a microwave Coffee facilities too cramped in corner Price for parking at Queen St carpark should be clearly stated on information document, Would love to have an online room service menu.

Room was spacious with excellent bathroom, bed was super comfy, access from the room to the atrium type garden chill area was a nice bonus. Breakfast was good and available till 1.30 pm. Trams on doorstep and virtually in the Victoria Markets

Was allocated a room on 3rd floor which on walking in and seeing the bathroom realized it was a disability one. Great if you needed one but we didn't. Was told that most people don't mind as the hotel is used mainly by business people for 1 night stays and they don't mind, we had booked 2 months before for 3 nights, so I'll call b.s. on that one. Was very happy with the room they gave us after this false start. Didn't appreciate a knock on the door by cleaning staff at 9.45am to clean our room on check out day.

loved the room service and prompt service by the staff. The location is also very ideal, not only next to queen vic market but also just outside free tram zone and very nice food shops everywhere. So convenient will definitely stay here again.

Liked everything, except maybe the quality of pillows in my room could be better as did wake up with a neckache. but overall have no complaints it is a wonderful area to stay at. It was also safe

Proximity to Vic Market and other places of interest. Many popular eateries in the vicinity of the hotel. Helpful staff Trams easily accessible.. Spacious Family suite compared to others - love the space Good to have 2 double beds for 3 pax. Bed soft but comfortable. Milk provided is a bonus Towels changed everyday 👍

Room 201 Taps at basin faulty and tight - hard to turn on /off Leaking bath cubicle - water from bath area runs out to the carpet on the room. Needs to have 2 towels to mop the water runs... No replenishment of daily drinking water. Balcony flooring dirty - should be better maintained Sofa bed big but mattress layer a bit thin. Should provide bedroom slippers as carpet needs cleaning

I really loved how it included free access to Melbourne city baths because there’s no gym or pool. I love that place and think it’s a better facility than most hotel pools and gyms. Also very easy access to trams and being inside free tram zone is a plus. My room was simple twin but clean, quiet and comfortable even though on main road.
