Everything was thoughtfully and smartly designed - they know exactly what travellers need! Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and enough cabinet to store your luggage, also the bedside space with outlet is amazing. Kitchen is exceptional - fully equipped, incredibly spacious, with everything you need, and a great communal place to eat, chat, and work. The outdoor terrace & rooftop was a great bonus. Bathroom with toilet is great design too, with good privacy and they always keep them clean! Lounge is a good place if you want to chill/work quietly. Ground floor lounge is also good for multi-purpose funtionaing. Staff are always friendly and helpful. All in all - exceptional!

I loved this place!

The Sunday complimentary breakfast and Saturday complimentary bbq lunch were great! Hostel has a lot of facilities others don’t, e.g. a movie room, little gym and spa! I like how the shared bathrooms are their own seperate bathrooms. It’s like walking a few metres to an ensuite! Good price, too!

The complimentary breakfast is only on Sundays now (it used to be Saturday and Sunday). Would be nice if there were bath mats, but I understand why there aren’t any as people could steal them.

Stayed in a single room, on the 7th floor with a view on the skyscrapers. The room was ideal for one and there were several bathrooms on the floor, never had to wait, which were cleaned regularly. Used the washine machine (AUD 6) and dryer (AUD 5), detergent is an additional AUD 2. Located in the CBD area, trams are free in this zone, and the hostel was located very close to Chinatown and a mall was like 5min walk away. Social hostel, went to the pub crawl night. Would recommend this place for a solo female traveller 😊

Storing your luggage until 12pm is free and cost AUD 10 afterwards, which is a bit of a shame, having stayed for a week, it could be included. Not due to the hostel but some guest were a bit loud in the evening in the corridor, however i slept well with earplugs. Stayed 1 week and my room didn't get cleaned, not a problem for me but to be aware if it's an issue for you.

Great hostel in central Melbourne, good value for the price. The room was bigger than what's usual for hostels, everything was clean and nice. Each bed has a shelf, a light and several sockets, and the lockers are also pretty spacious. There were several small bathrooms with everything in one room (toilet, shower, sink) which I think is much better than stalls, and since there were several, I always found at least one vacant. There is amazing view from the roof. Everything is close, the central tram/metro station was literally a few mins walk. Wifi worked great, staff was nice. They let me keep my bag there for free after I checked out.

Nothing, really. Maybe the kitchen/eating area could use a bit more cleaning? But honestly given it's a shared space and not everyone is tidy, it's impossible for everything to be pristine. Also the top bunk was really high, which was great for the person using the lower one, but not so much for me, especially since my locker was also quite high - I couldn't reach to my bed from the ground and had to stand on my toes to reach the back of the locker. But it was just a small inconvenience.

Lots of people so plenty of opportunity to find people to speak to. Can also easily just do your own thing if you don’t want to also.

Bunk beds were a bit noisy from the top bunk person, be good if they were a bit stiffer. Needs some new knives as some of them are very dull. Some of the gymbros were a bit noisy but that was midday so not a problem really. I know the sausages were free but they could definitely be better quality.

Very sociable and easy to meet people. Rooms were comfortable enough although a little small for 6 girls and their luggage! Rooftop was a great place to hang out and there were plenty of events. Large kitchen which was always well equipped. Friendly check in staff. Was able to store luggage for 4 days while I was away from Melbourne.

I arrived very late at night and had to find the free bed and make the bed at 2am while trying not to wake up everyone in the room! It would be easier to have assigned beds (although I think this is unusual in Australia) and to have the beds made especially for late check ins.

Easily the best hostel I’ve stayed in! The different events they put on are so nice to have the option to socialise. The different floors also have different appeals; cinema, gym, chill out room, rooftop - the view from the rooftop is amazing. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Having individual toilets with individual showers was amazing for a hostel as it gives you privacy. The rooms are absolutely fine, comfortable, clean and have enough individual space to store your belongings and charging points by the bed.
