The room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom/ensuite was more modern than I was expecting. Dinner in the pub in the evening was also good; the menu contained a good number of selections. I chose Naughtons as I was visiting a son at the Uni so the location was ideal. I thought parking might be a problem but I parked on the street without issues, even though I was technically outside of the limits.

I would have liked to have the option of breakfast in the hotel, but it doesn't open until midday. There is a nice cafe just down from Naughtons along Morrah St (Cnr of Morrah & Wimble streets) which did a decent breakfast, so I used that. It is only a couple of minutes walk.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to the city, and on the tram-line. he staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was well-appointed with modern amenities and was kept impeccably clean. I also had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant and spend some time in the bar, both of which were wonderful. The food was delicious, with a great selection, and the atmosphere in the bar was perfect for unwinding at the end of each day. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch hospitality experience. Their attention to detail and customer service are what set them apart.

We enjoyed our second stay at Naughtons and would again highly recommend this hotel. Excellent location, only a few tram stops to the city, very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is also very handy to two popular cafes, "Felix"(almost underneath Naughtons) and "Cafe Tesorina" (a 5 min walk from Naughtons). Our room was rear facing, so we didn't have the tram noise from Royal Parade, or the noise from the pub downstairs.

Would've liked a "tall boy"/chest of drawers in the bedroom for our clothes. We also had a nocturnal visitor, an animal in the roof, it didn't keep us awake, but we did notice it moving about when we were getting ready for bed. I told the management when we ended out stay, they were appreciated us letting them know and would investigate.

The location was excellent for my needs. I had only 1 dinner at the hotel and I enjoyed that. I would have had a second but the dining room was already closed when I was ready to eat.

On Day 2, my room was not cleaned. Perhaps this was because I didn't think to put out the sign to "Make up my room". It was difficult to fill the kettle at the hand basin. The soap dispenser at the vanity was non-functional by Day 2. There was far too much covering on the bed for mid-summer, especially during a heatwave.

This is an excellent location when spending most of my time north of the city. The tram stop right outside the front door made getting around really easy. The hotel itself was lovely, clean and the bed was comfy. It was so good to have the restaurant downstairs as well - Tuesday curry night was amazing! The staff in the restaurant really knew their wines as well and made great recommendations.

Sadly, the hairdryer I grabbed from the shared utility room only blew cold air so I had to venture out for another with a wet head.

We arrived in the late afternoon and were met by very friendly staff. The room was very comfortable - simple - but everything we needed for our overnight stay. LOVED the fire place in the rear of the restaurant/bar where we shared a bottle of red and some tasty food. Free parking in a nearby street was a bonus. Easy access to the city with a tram literally outside the front door. Great little place today if you prefer a quiet location rather than the businees of the city.

Love the place its very cosy..And clean too Management were very friendly I enjoyed the stay very much 💕 The location was good for me as my daughter attends a course at University of Melbourne And the tram station is just across the street so convenient Safe too as they lock the door at night

The locking system is a bit confusing for me 😂 not a big deal but i was just a bit lost there

Lovely old pub/ restaurant with rooms in a beautiful area across the road from the University campus and near Royal Park. The room was very comfortable with a smart modern bathroom and excellent toiletries. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and a special mention for Tim, who worked very hard making sure everything was arranged well. Very convenient to get on a tram into the centre in about 10 minutes. We also ate at the pub and had a beautiful meal with excellent t wine. Breakfast was at a delightful cafe a few yards down the road. The staff were able to keep our luggage on the day we had a late flight out. I would happily stay there again.

It would be worth noting there is no lift to the bedrooms if that were a concern for access.

Excellent location right on tram route 19. Elegantly refurbished room and comfy bed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is excellent.

While the chairs in the sitting area definitely fit the vibe, they weren't the best for an evening in after a long day at uni. Maybe change the TV wall bracket to swing for viewing from bed?

Stayed here last year as well, funny I even got the same room. Location was great, tram stop was right at the front of the hotel, room had a very decent size, the bed was comfy, tea kettle, tea & coffee were provided. Place was clean and tidy, staff was friendly and very helpful.

It was little noisy before midnight but it was ok after that. The shower head was leaking a bit, although I believe it could be fixed easily.
