We really liked the space. It was clean and airy and also had a balcony. The bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet and only a very short walk from the tram. Travel links are excellent. There are restaurants, cafes and shops galore. I found the washer/dryer difficult to use for quick washing but I’m not used to that type of machine. As we were there for three days, it would have been thoughtful to leave three days worth of washing up liquid/ dishwasher tablets/ washing powder. There was no drainer for dishes (we prefer this as there are only two of us) and no antibacterial wipes or spray for the kitchen surface. Having been charged a deposit, I took photos of any existing damage and let the company know I had done this. It was minimal scrapes and black marks on the walls but I didn’t want to be charged for them. Despite these tiny gripes, we had a lovely time. We didn’t expect the level of quietness there and we would definitely book it again.

Pleasantly surprised with cleanliness, lay out, comfort, friendly & communicative reception, central location. Several supermarkets nearby. Public transport very accessible & within a short walk. Train took approx 20mins on the Upfield line from SC station to Anstey station & number 19 tram took 35mins to CBD. Tram passes by Queen Victoria market on its way to CBC.

I loved Brunswick, it’s very cosmopolitan, with lots of food options. Its character also appeals to young people/students. However be prepared for plenty of graffiti & building sites.

Modern appliances, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful.

The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in with 3 people was rather cramped . The laundry was behind doors in the hallway leading to the door and when the doors were open it was difficult to move through the doorway. The couch was a small 2 seater so one of our group had to sit at the dining table to watch TV. The bedrooms were comfortable but it would have been good to have lamps on the bedside tables. It also would have been useful to have had instructions to operate the oven and there was no oven or microwave cookware. As we stayed three nights more tea and coffee would have been appreciated.

Good, clean and generally comfortable space in an excellent location for my needs. I have stayed several times before and it is consistently good. Pleasant staff.

There is still a serious lack of kitchen equipment ( eg 1 slightly sharp knife, no small bowls etc ) so you really cannot prepare food. The lack of reading lamps in the bedrooms is a nuisance. Late check in arrangements aren't ideal as it requires private ID and financial information being sent by email.

Really appreciated how beautiful and well put together the apartment was. We had a 20 minute travel time to and from the city on the tram which was really very good. There was also a lot of free parking around the apartment along Albion street. The walls were fairly thin and it was easy to hear what people were doing in and outside of their own apartments, but other than this, Artel apartments were brilliant. Would definitely stay there again.

The only thing that could have been better was the fact that the rooms weren't soundproofed. You could hear everything that other people were doing in their own apartments or outside of ours.

The room was clean and the staff were easy to deal with. WiFi signal was excellent in the room.

The surrounding location is a bit on the run-down side, seemed to be an awful lot of closed-down businesses around. Beds were very stiff and not incredibly comfortable. There was only a 2-seater couch in a room that slept 4 people. Only 1 TV for the 2 bedroom unit. Only one air conditioning unit in the living area, so if you closed your bedroom door at night you had no cool air whatsoever. They provide you with an oven, but no utensils to be used with it (tongs, etc).

We have stayed at Artel apartments on several occasions. Staff are friendly, apartments are well located and overall have most things one would need for a self catering stay. The parking is easy to access and good value. There is a useful supermarket very close by.

I have mentioned before that bedside lamps would be very helpful - the one bright light in the bedroom is not pleasant at night. We bring our own now!

We didn't have breakfast, but the location was perfect for us as we had an event both nights just down the road, so was within walking distance.

The bed was incredibly comfortable....However, the pillows were way too high and gave me a sore neck and shoulders....A few thinner pillows would have been appreciated.

Convenient location and surprisingly quiet too. Spacious living area, huge comfortable beds.

Heavy rain leaked via corner of patio doors through inside skirting to leave a wet patch on bedroom carpet. Although this did eventually dry (over 3 days) it was unpleasant to step in on your way in and out of the bedroom & left a musty smell. We did bring to the attention of concierge but it was over Christmas so not a good time for repairs to be done, which is fair enough I guess.

Great location. Quiet, large clean apartment with most of the facilities you need. Safe underground parking. Pleasant helpful staff. Good firm comfortable bed.

Parking spaces a bit difficult to get into due to tight space. Pillows were very large and hard and therefore had to be discarded. Kitchen fit out was good but a few things missing. Water pressure in shower was very low.
