The overall vibe here is relaxing. The onsite laundry facility was a nice amenity. The communal kitchen and dining area was clean and spacious with everything you need to make meals. The owners were very friendly and helpful when they were there. The bathroom was surprisingly big for such a small room.

The office isn't always staffed during the posted open hours, so it was hard to ask questions or get towels. I was in the smallest room and the A/C wouldn't keep the room cool during the hottest part of the day (90 degrees). The bed was soggy and I left with a sore back.

Great motel-style accommodation walking distance from town. Nice and clean, although very small rooms, once unpacked there are plenty of cupboards and nooks and crannies to store stuff. Lovely big shared kitchen well equipped and clean even has eskys to borrow for picnics. Nice chatting to other guests too. We had a wonderful stay in Exmouth and the accommodation was great.

As the rooms are so small, i think the little coffee table, decortive pillows, and vase of dried flowers could be removed from the rooms to save space for luggage. Also, room 24 really does need a new mattress but didn't spoil our holiday.

This place is exceptional. Room size looked small on arrival but we didn't realise what amenities were available. Lots of recreation areas both inside and out which catered for everything you could need. Kitchen dining area has every appliance, utensil, spices and more to make your stay complete. TV rooms, pool table and more. Incredibly clean. Outdoor area with pool, BBQ, seating and gardens plus decorated beautifully. Centrally located within walking distance to shops and eateries and tour pickup at door. Incredible , gorges, marine tours and local beaches to visit.

The shared kitchen was super well equipped. The games room and outdoor spaces lovely and peaceful. Our group of 2 x families found the spaces really flexible and useful. It was quiet at night as well. Having teabags, milk and plenty of spices and oil etc was also really helpful. A step up from a backpackers, but same relaxed, convivial vibe without the noise and mess, and much older guests - families and grey nomads mostly.

The laundry can only be used 3-8pm and they have to take stuff off the line in the morning too, so it wasn't always easy to get our washing done. Also the machines need coins so future guests who will require laundry - make sure you have a load of $2 coins at the ready! A small thing and didn't impact our stay.

The unusually large communal kitchen with every facility you would ever want - big fridges/ cooktops/ovens/microwaves/cooking utensils, electric kettles, etc, large jars of coffee/ all sorts of plates, bowls, glasses, etc. All with large tables and many chairs. Next door a large comfortable games room. Then a large comfortable lounge room with several couches. Many tables and chairs outside under shade cloth, plus a nice pool. All this creates a very friendly atmosphere where people can meet many others and chat. Location is perfect - can walk to shops.

No dislikes.

Loved the ambience as the internal courtyard is a little oasis in an otherwise dry landscape. The pool was also appreciated - clean and a relaxing opportunity in the heat. I have never experienced such a well appointed kitchen in accommodation before, spacious, with all the necessary utensils, plates, cooking facilities etc. - and it was very clean. The games room was fun and well stocked. The owners were very helpful. And it was only a 10 minute walk to the retail area so my early morning coffee was a pleasant stroll away.

The rooms are on the small size but clean and comfortable nevertheless. For us the fact that our room had windows onto the courtyard (generally a nice thing), meant we had to keep them shut and blinds drawn for privacy as a couple of talkative men had commandeered the table close by for most of the time we were there. Next time I’d ask for a room away from the courtyard.

Location was great. We arrived early and whilst we could not access our room until the notified time of 2pm staff said we could use the other facilities which was appreciated. The kitchen dining space is great. The courtyard area is lovely. Would have tried out the pool if the weather was warmer.

The kitchen exhaust fans do not have any vents so there was a lingering unpleasant cooking smell. You got used to it once in there, but notice it each time you enter. A bit of road noise from the front units, so would recommend requesting the back units.

Our arrival at the Ningaloo Lodge in Exmouth was a surprise and not what we expected. It is a much older facility, comprising two main accommodation wings, with rooms running off a central corridor in each building. The rooms are very small, so if you want to bring in a lot of luggage, you might have a problem. A small ensuite bathroom is attached to each room. Room furnishings are “old world”, like you might find at Nannas. The retreat has a very well equipped communal kitchen, enabling guests to prepare meals during their stay. As no tea/coffee making facilities are provided in bedrooms, this is where you can get a cup of tea or coffee. An eccentrically decorated games room also runs off the communal kitchen. In between the accommodation wings, is a garden area with table and chairs provided, which makes it an idea place to enjoy an evening drink or even a tea or coffee. A swimming pool is also included in this area. Last but not least, the hotel also has a laundry for guests with washers and dryers, or a clothes line if preferred. I think the best description of this facility is that it’s quirky and not your normal run of the mill accommodation. This is why it makes it such a pleasant place to stay.

Simple pool, simple rooms, front office doesn't provide a place to store luggage, so not sure what those without a car to put it in for the day would do. Feels expensive for what you get, which is a bare bones place that kicks you out right at the 10am checkout time by knocking on your door and yelling, and a front office that's only open from 9am-4pm, so you better not need anything outside of those hours. There is a shared kitchen that all can use that seemed fine, though we didn't use it, and the other patrons on site were friendly, older folks. There were pool towels you could borrow and use.

The Lodge is like a home away from home . You have your bedroom with own bathroom. The communal kitchen which has everything you need for cooking, keeping this cold/frozen. They have eskies and containers you can borrow . We met some lovely people as well . Then there’s the communal TV room with comfy chairs large screen TV. There is also a nook if you feel the need to work. It has a lovely outdoor area with pool and BBQ with sun lounges and table’s and chairs to eat outside . All in all this place is a gem and I am definitely staying again next time in Exmouth.
