It surpasses the expectations of a 4-star stay. The attention to detail, both inside and outside the building, creates the experience of a beautiful, luxurious villa. The setting is very private and intimate. The lady who served drinks was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel like long-awaited guests. However, the staff is not intrusive, allowing guests ample privacy and space. A very nice steak restaurant, which claims to serve the best meat in the area, is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The center of Hasselt is only a 5-10 minute drive away.

We couldn’t use the pool because it was closed while we were outside. To be fair, we didn’t even ask for it to be opened, as we were busy enjoying the outdoor facilities. The villa is right next to a road, so you can hear some traffic. However, the road is quiet at night, allowing us to rest well.

Although a few miles from the City Center of Hasselt, this should be a "must stay" destination. The B&B is stunning, elegant and eclectic. A family owns and runs the B&B and they couldn't have been more lovely - Katia (spelling?) is one of the owners and greeted us. It was a couple of flights of stairs to the room, but that is to be expected in an older home/mansion. The room was spectacular - especially the artwork. The wallpaper alone was worth the trip! Beautiful decor in the rooms and the public spaces. Breakfast was excellent - served by one of the daughters. All fresh and home-made. They even had car chargers - which was handy for the plug-in hybrid we rented for our trip. The city of Hasselt was a real surprise. We knew virtually nothing about it - we booked it because it was close to Maastricht. Turns out, we loved the city and had a full evening and the next day to explore. The son in the family that owns the B&B also has a bar in downtown Hasselt where we went for cocktails. We were surprised at how cosmopolitan and upscale Hasselt was. Great dining and shopping and great city to walk around. It's a real gem!

Hard to complain about a place we enjoyed so thoroughly but there were two things: - Entry gate was a little clunky and the code didn't work all that well. The proprietors opened the gate for us - so not a big deal. - The bathroom was great, but there was no shower stall - a beautiful bathtub with a spray. Again, not a major inconvenience, but a shower would have been nice

When you’re looking for an authentic place, decorated with love, with a historic feel but very comfortable, a perfect place to relax inside and outside with the nicest dogs and a wandering pony this is your pick! We spend a lot of time here just relaxing in the wonderful garden and in the pool. the summer bar (in the garden a great place to relax and have afternoon drinks) was a great plus! In the nearby town of Hasselt there are amazing restaurants. We will be coming back!

Personally I liked everything. My husband thought the absence of a shower was somewhat inconvenient.

The staff was supernice but could have been more attentive to guests arriving. We kept ringing the bell but nobody opened. Also when we came down we weren't guided to the breakfast when they saw us looking around for the breakfast place.

The location was amazing! There were a lot of beautiful paintings displayed. The breakfast was very good, there were a verity of different cheeses, fruits and also bacon and eggs. Overall great place to stay at a beautiful location.

The jacuzzi was not very warm but that was okay because you could take a hot bath after.

The classic Belgian breakfast was awesome. All of the bread they provide was the most fresh and tasty every I had.

Amazing quality, at €250 a night it’s not cheap, but the quality was excellent making it amazing value for money.

Nothing, really.

We came here the day before our wedding with a small group of family and had the whole place to ourselves. We had dinner on Friday night with everyone together and just enjoyed the beauty of this place on the terrace and in the dining room. Food was amazing! Saturday morning we had some people come over for hair, make-up, flowers and a photographer, as we were getting ready for the big day. It was the perfect location for just being together, for getting ready in the morning, for taking our first photos... There is absolutely nothing negative to say! Will cherish these memories here forever, 10/10!

Nothing not to like.

The entire expreience from check-in to leaving took no effort. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The property was amazing; beautifully presented to the highest standards. The food was excellent. Everything just worked to deliver a truly memorable stay.

I would have liked a stand-up shower. There isn't anything else I wouldl have improved... I'm writing this sentence to fulfill the requirements of the text box!
