Room smell was very fragrant on arrival. Very clean and comfortable room. Quiet room, no noise from street. Had lots of TV channels - British, French, Dutch, German, etc. Good lift to upper floors. Fantastic communication from staff before and during stay. Location ideal, across road from main railway station, flixbus stop, near tram and city bus stops. My son liked trainspotting from the room! Good choice of takeaways, restaurants, a night shop and a mini supermarket next to hotel. We paid for buffet breakfast and it was good and topped up. Liege is a great city.

There is no kettle or tea/coffee in the room.

The room and bathroom were spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub in it which meant a lot of room for showering. The hotel is located just a short walk from the station and there are a few nice places to have a drink next to it. They do offer breakfast (we didn’t eat there) and with a small walk you’re at the shopping mall nearby. Everything was nice, we loved our stay here!

While showering the water splashes over the edge, causing the whole floor to be wet. Not necessarily something they can change, but just be aware with stepping out of the tub.

Excellent Service, Excellent Room and Excellent Location My friend and I, representing our trekking company, Alliance Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Nepal, traveled together. I took a train from Berlin, Germany, and arrived early in the morning in Liege at this hotel (Hôtel de l'Univers Liège). From the moment we stepped in, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They welcomed us warmly and even offered us complimentary coffee—our first such experience in all of Europe! We had a midnight bus to Zurich and had to wait in the hotel lobby. The staff went out of their way to check on us, ensuring we were comfortable and offering drinks if needed. Their kindness and hospitality truly stood out. This hotel provides great value for money, excellent rooms, a delicious breakfast, and, most importantly, a team that genuinely cares about its guests. We highly recommend this hotel to travelers from around the world. Without a doubt, we will choose this hotel again for future family visits, friend gatherings, and business trips. The hotel is super close to the train station which is very convenient. The room was clean and they do daily housekeeping. I needed the iron, asked the staff member and they provided me. There is an microwave near reception for guests which is good. Staff was friendly.

The bathroom sink was kinda blocked and the drainage was very slow. The mattress was not so comfortable. It would be good to have tea or coffee option in the room.

Hotel de l'Univers Liege is located at Rue des Guillemins 116, Liege 4000. It is a few mins walk from Liege Guillemins train station. We chose this hotel as we had to catch a train early the next day. It is not near the city centre. The room and bathroom are small, but clean and comfortable. The room has a view of the surrounding green and hilly terrain beyond the train tracks. There are cafes along the streets of the hotel. The toiletries are simple, but sufficient for our needs.

There is no complimentary water, no kettle and no coffee or tea packets. We only found out upon check-out that the kettle is available from the reception desk if we only asked.

Easy to access from motorway. Secure parking. Large room. Excellent breakfast.

I asked for a glass of Chardonnay in the bar and was told ‘We only have dry white. I don’t know what sort it is’. I expected a choice and for the barman at least to know what he was serving. The double bed in our room was two singles pushed together and the mattresses sloped towards the middle. Not the most comfortable night’s sleep.

The location is excellent: the hotel is across the road from the impressive Liège-Guillemins station. The staff were helpful: I was delayed in my arrival due to a late train and messaged the hotel to ensure that I could still check-in. Within the hour I received a reply saying that I could. When I arrived, I rang the desk and checked-in without difficulty. When I had a problem with my keycard on the second day, the staff member at the desk fixed the issue immediately. The room was small, but clean and the bed was comfy.

When reading several other reviews, I didn't understand. Some give very high marks, others very low marks. Some praising the cleanliness, others criticizing it extremely. Some saying they were satisfied with their rooms, others saying it was in an urgent need of "renovation". I don't know who is right or not, but either many reviews are dishonest, or perhaps I was "very lucky". I was attended to by two employees, one at check in, the other at check out and in both cases, everyone was very friendly and had a smile on their faces. The cleaning lady was also very helpful when I asked for information when I arrived on the floor. I really liked the hotel, the room was good and apparently new (maybe it was remodeled in time for my stay (?)). Excellent location for those who want to be close to the train station and not necessarily in the city center. Good variety of places to eat and have a drink, just few steps away. With the window closed, you won't hear trains or their horns, and no sounds from the street at all. Comfortable bed. Very nice bathtub.

The staff / owners are excellent; helpful and friendly. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. There was a powerful shower with a massage jet option, which was welcome after 2 days of motorcycling.

As expected for a 3 star, there is nothing in the room for refreshment, no frills. The area is of course near the university and the bus station and a casino, so it’s not the most salubrious part of town, but we didn’t encounter any problems.

Very well located hotel (5 mins to the train station, a walking distance to the center, next to a lovely restaurant Au Concordia). The room was spacious and clean. No noise from the street.

Our room was located next to the cleaning storage and we were woken up with the noise done (probably) by the cleaning ladies.
