Charming hacienda-style property. The decor in the common areas is very frontier american complete with a jerky-like smell. I guess it's very individual if this is a positive or a negative; my personal jury is still out... Very nice outside area with a small lake and patio seating. Breakfast was nice if not overwhelming. The restaurant was pretty good.

The private rooms are a bit spartan. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, so it fit our needs (road trip) nicely, but be aware that you'll need a vehicle to see anything else. Rather pricey for the location. The restaurant was a bit pricey as well. I ticked off the "wont book again" option, but mainly because I doubt I will ever find myself in this area again.

Excellent Location. Breakfast was basic but there was plenty to eat. The views outside were very good. It was close to the nearby city. It is near to a very interesting cycling museum. The staff were very friendly.

The restaurant menu had very little choice, there was no vegetarian plate included. We were informed on the first night that there were Zebra, Ostrich ad Deer on the menu. Interesting, but not our type of food. Also, when the housekeeper cleaned, she left all room doors wide open until she was finished with cleaning. We arrived in the middle of the day to find the door to our room wide open. This was a big "no no" for us as all our personal items were still there and we had two more nights remaining.

A fabulous location in the countryside - surrounded by immaculately kept grounds and a lake populated with various waterbirds and their families - plenty to watch and listen to. The room and buildings were attractive and well laid out, parking was easy and the restaurant had a lovely ambiance and a good choice of meals - the availability of a 'barbecue at your table' looked to be a real winner! Staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant from the moment we arrived. It was a real pleasure to stay here.

the manager was clearly not a friendly kind. I could spy some not cool behaviour with staff as well as I got told of to leave two honey rations which I wanted to take for travel with the words: YOU CANNOT TAKE THIS, PUT IT BACK! very unfriendly experience! the room was quiet and calm thu. I spent 30days driving 14.000km thru europe on a work trip - this was the least appealing price/value experience, sorry but only being honest.

Lovely hotel. Great room, spacious and clean. The setting of the hotel grounds are particularly nice and peaceful. The restaurant/breakfast room is really lovely. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. There is ample parking.

It is about 20mins+ into Ghent, but it wouldn't be a countryside peaceful place, so you can't have it both ways.

Nice location. Lovely setting. Nice restaurant on site. Able to store our bikes securely but given reception was closed for a part of the day we may have had problems accessing bikes/locking them up.

Breakfast was basic with no hot cooked food as an option. Reception was closed for a portion of the day.

The bike storage facility is secure and only accessible via the staff, though the room is also used for storage so can be a bit cramped if other cyclists are using it. Maybe a bit of a clear out and some bike hangers on the walls and it would be perfect! The continental breakfast was excellent with a great selection every morning. We ate in the restaurant every night and the food and grilled steaks were the best weve had combined with a great Belgian beer selection. Really good after hard day on the bergs. Cant wait to come back!

The Booking.com site states a coffee machine is included in the Deluxe room - it isn’t. Theres a kettle and sachets of tea and coffee replaceable at €1 charge. Needs correcting.

Excellent hotel, true to its 3*in beautiful location. 20 minutes’ drive away from Ghent. We booked for a dinner at their atmospheric restaurant(meat grill, costing 30-40 Euro per head with beer) followed by a next morning breakfast ( usual continental affair plus boiled eggs) Thank you!

Room needs bigger wardrobe, mirror, kettle etc for longer stay, but adequate for short stay

The restaurant decor is quite unique and the food was very good. We tried Kangaroo and Bison, cooked perfefrly. Staffs very helpful and friendly and very welcoming! Rooms size was good, bathroom size was great. We stayed 1 night, although it was rainning and dull but in whple the place is quite pretty.

The pillow was too small and flat. There were no hand wash or shower gel. Could do with a kettle.

Restaurant is fantastic. Nice rooms and bathrooms.

Breakfast provided in the morning was underwhelming. And youre not allowed to fill a personal water bottle to take along, even with a water dispenser by the restaurant.
