Restaurant was excellent - very high quality food, including breakfast. Lovely location by the river, although we could not see this from our room Mostly very helpful staff, including finding a place for us to store extra luggage overnight.

Very busy road at peak times - on a corner where one could not see what was coming when try to cross the road to the car park. A couple of mirrors opposite would have helped this. Would have preferred to be in the same building as the restaurant, instead of having to go outside in the rain to reach our room.

Our second visit here for an overnight stop on a long journey and again much enjoyed. Convenient for the motorway. The room, if a bit small for 2 people, had everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. A pleasant view from a Juliet balcony over the hotel roofs to fields beyond and a glimpse of the river. Excellent restaurant food at dinner, a highlight. Standard European breakfast.

If you have the window open for fresh air it lets the rain in.

A great stay at a beautiful hotel. Check in was eady and our room was in a separate building across the road from the main complex. Our room was very comfort and clean, with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast in the morning reflected the fact that this hotel is reknowned for its kitchen and its food. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone needing somewhere to stay in this area.

The location is beautiful, the room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and accomodating to our extra requirements. Breakfast service was delicious with enough variety to ensure a large choice of food, from many brotchen choices, to hot food and fruit.

That we could not stay longer, as we were in Gent for 3 nights, and unfortunately had to book last notice, and only were able to get one night at this perfect location

Excellent stay all round; only downside was locating the hotel as due to road works ( which presumably has been going on for 2 years) there being contractors vehicles blocking access up the road but luckily we were fortunate to have 2 very kind “locals” who came in our car with us and showed us a roundabout way which we never would have found on our own.

The location is wonderful, water side and in a quiet area that makes you feel like you’re off the beaten track. Even though it’s not too far from the local town. The rooms are air conditioned and spacious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is also amazing, and the pop up bar and outside dining area are superb, with a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Almost nothing! The hotel is geared towards corporate or family (weddings) etc events. That said, the hotel was quiet when we were there and we were looked after very well indeed

Modern and comfortable, yet family friendly. We visited the restaurant to have a drink and feed our baby and they gave us some borrel on the house.

Bedroom was a little dusty, could have done with another vacuum. Especially in the crevices and the radiators. They also didn’t get the special request from booking.com for a cot in the room (but it didn’t matter in the end so we didn’t say anything to the staff).

The room was great, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is a lovely looking building in a beautiful and quiet location. The restaurant was excellent, it was lovely sitting outside overlooking the river and the food was amazing.

This is my favourite hotel for relaxing and getting a break. The beds are very comfortable and the location is quiet so you will sleep well. Also, the restaurant is so good. I can't wait to go back.

The lighting in the room is a little bit dark.
