Rustic traditional brassiere with 5 hotel rooms located in a small village in a very affluent neighborhood just outside of Gent. Somewhat remote location with surprisingly lots of traffic, mainly from large SUVs. Neighborhood is very affluent, so the prices in the restaurant were respectively high. Food was good, but not outstanding for the price. We woke up a couple of nights from the cleaning up after the restaurant closed. 20-30 min drive to Gent.

When we arrived, the reception was not open; we used a keycode to enter. This is efficient but less friendly. We knew it would be a rustic place. There are several rooms on the 1st floor (2nd for our Stateside friends), We had the smallest of the bunch. Good beds and lovely breakfast service, with great personal service. Highly recommended.

Having the smallest (and cheapest room), although we didn't know this when we booked, our room had a toilet opposite the room across the hallway. Initially, we thought we had to share a toilet with all the other rooms, but at breakfast, they told us this was primarily for our room, as the other more expensive rooms have their own en-suites.

Great breakfast, very kind staff. Wonderful location (but roadworks in 2022). Very comfortable bed en good sanitary (! WC is not in the room, which is a minus).

Cute restaurant but very limited vegetarian options. Lack of toilet in the room is a minus. Price is some 15-20% too high for the total value proposition.

Stylish and well kept hotel/restaurant on a cobble stone street in a picturesque small village near the borders of the river Leie.

Authenticity. Old fashioned. Unfussy

Some of the fittings are a bit tired. Windows should be double glazed as road is noisy as it is cobbled.

Breakfast was good : fresh things you order the evening before, which is a good idea. Beds were extremely good! Friendly staff. And combination hotel/brasserie is ideal

Nothing really. We had the bad luck the warm water was out of order, but nothing the staff could do about it on a sunday morning. But they informed us on time.

We had a ‘window’ in our room door en woke up from the lights in the hallway in the morning.

Clean and old world. Great restaurant next door. Quiet in pleasant surroundings. Only an hour from the port of Dunkirk.

Good old style hotel with very helpful personel

Friendly, comfortable and attractive hotel, lovely room, super breakfast and dinner. An excellent stay, we will return soon. Dogs welcome too.
