We upgraded to the Korenlei Suite which was absolutely wonderful, one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. It was on the second floor and was large, airy and light (one side of the room was all windows) with lots of storage, a comfortable kingsize bed, fresh linen, a large bathroom with bath and shower and a separate toilet. Everywhere was very clean and the room was serviced daily. Wine, beer and water was replaced daily on the house! The view from the room was down the Leie to St Michael's Bridge and it was lovely to sit at night looking over this view. The owners Bie and Pascal were so hospitable and helpful. We really felt at home with such lovely hosts. They couldn't do enough for us. Breakfasts, served in the restaurant or on the terrace, were good with a great choice of cereals, fresh fruit and juice, breads and eggs. All served by Anka who was so pleasant. The location of this property is excellent. We cannot recommend Rooms with a View highly enough and we had a wonderful 5 night stay.

Rooms with a View are in an excellent location, right on the river in the heart of Ghent. Bei is a warm and friendly host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful as we made the most of the sunny weather. The room was very clean and the bed large and comfortable. A lovely touch to have wine in the room and free access to the minibar. The building is beautiful and historic. Highly recommended if you like to be right in the centre of town.

It was not a problem for us but the stairs up to the third floor are very steep. Bei very kindly took our luggage up for us but you do need to be steady on your feet.

We loved everything about this beautiful property. From the moment we were shown to our room, we just went ‘Wow’. The views are incredible. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was perfect. We were greeted with food in our mini bar and a bottle of wine. Breakfast was included downstairs in the lovely restaurant that the landlord owns and it was so delicious with whatever we wanted and and another great view. I couldn’t rate Rooms With a View more highly - 12 out of 10

Nothing. It’s perfect - but there are narrow and steep stairs up to the room so if you can’t manage stairs, it would be hard.

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about this magical hotel, and its wonderful hosts. We had never been to Ghent before, and this proved to be the PERFECT location to experience all the city has to offer. Seriously - the location could not be better. On top of that, the room was spectacular. The bed was the highlight of our multi-city trip, the breakfast was incredible every morning, and Bie set up a taxi for us verrrry early in the morning on our last day - complete with breakfast to go. If you’re considering a place to stay in Ghent, this is the one.

Rooms with a View is in an exceptional location with the most amazing view of Korenlei & Graslei. Although the room was small it was very carefully planned to utilise the space. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful, again superb views and great selection, chosen the night before and waiting for us in the morning at our appointed time. The rooms are reached via very steep stairs but kindly staff moved our bags arriving and leaving. Bie arranged a taxi for us to the station cheaper than the one we picked up ourselves when we arrived which came right to the door.

It was a little noisy on a Sunday night but after lots of walking we slept well.

Old little house on the corner of the bridge next to the water. There are 3 rooms atop a restaurant. We had the top floor. The view of Gent was amazing! The room is not very big, but for a couple it is great! The bathroom is simple but clean. The breakfast was great! Sitting on the terrace next to the water was very nice. They supply you with all the food and drinks you might need! If there was one small comment it would be the quality of the coffee. But it was not bad at all. . The host was also very nice. They have parking options in a garage for a very reasonable price. All in all a very nice place for a stay in Gent.

Bie met us on arrival and kindly showed us around the facilities. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the hotel is perfectly located with fantastic views (as it says in the name). The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, and a beautiful start to the day overlooking the canal. All the staff were very pleasant. Thankyou Bie and Pascal for a great few days. I would strongly recommend as a good base to explore Ghent.

The location of this property is second to none. It sounds to good to be true, but true it is. It is close to everything worth being close to. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. I had booked two other properties before I found this one and I am glad that I kept looking. All others are playing for second as far as I am concerned.

There was nothing not to like. Some comments refer to the steep winding staircase, but I didn’t find that to be an issue at all.

The room was not over sold. Absolutely the best view! Didn’t want to leave the room. Ghent has a bustling city center and we were in the thick of it. Just what we wanted. Beautiful restaurant run by the owner, Bie is attached. Breakfast is served there and the offerings are delicious. The bed was very comfortable and tea/coffee as well as minibar selections were available. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spotless and the shower stall wonderfully spacious. (Rare in Europe)

Be warned, the stairs are treacherous but we were aware before booking. Thankfully a wonderful staff member carried our bags up and down.

This accommodation is amazing. The location couldn't be better, and the rooms are located in a tastefully decorated historic building with sensational views and a wonderful breakfast terrace. The breakfast was excellent, and we also had a large selection of snacks and drinks in our room, which far exceeded our expectations. The hosts are very friendly and attentive, we felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay very much.
