I will highly recommend this hotel. It has a very cool vibe, amazing location and fantastic staff. The hotel is warm inviting but with a modern fun vibe. The staff were incredibly helpful anytime we had questions. The location is fantastic as it is right on the canal and it is in a great neighborhood with tons of restaurants and easy walking distance to all the sites. The rooms were huge by European standards and very comfortable. Honestly we stayed in 4 hotels on this trip and it was the only one with real air conditioning that cooled. The other hotels on the trip were also nice hotels, but the air conditioning in those were sub-par. The pool was a nice amenity when it was hot in the afternoon.

We loved everything...if I could suggest one thing, it would be to add cocktails outside in front of the hotel (where breakfast is served) at night.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. It is modern and comfortable, and the room was very spacious with a comfy bed and a huge walk-in shower. We had drinks outside the front of the hotel, which overlooks the canal and is a great spot for people watching. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the sliding door on the toilet (that separated it from the shower room). I appreciate it was a space saver but felt a bit exposing. Ultimately this is a very small negative that really shouldn't stop you staying here as it's a great hotel we would definitely recommend.

Perfect location to walk around the center of Ghent, and a little further with a bike. The room was spacious to accommodate also our 2 little children. The breakfast was just perfect with a good buffet and a-la-carte options also available. The staff was superb.

Nothing worth noting and our stay was very good, so much so to exceed any expectations we had. If one really had to look for some drawbacks, certainly this property didn't come cheap and perhaps facilities could be slightly better for a 4-stars category in central Europe. Yet, nothing to bother with and again our stay was wonderful.

The room was HUGE, which was great because we stayed here for 4 nights. The place is centrally located to the town, close to the castle, restaurants, bars, shops but it is a little far from the train station. But buses were easy to navigate.

You will need to go up a few steps from the street level to reach the reception and elevators (unless there is an alternate way that we didn't notice). So if you need help with stairs, carrying luggage up stairs, this hotel might be an issue. Also, the shower didn't have a shower curtain so water splashed out.

Great view overlooking the canal and close to city square. Bed is two twins pushed together so there is an uncomfortable crack down the middle. 10 minute walk to tram line and 10 more to train station. A great home base for visiting Belgium!

Our room, 311, was quirky, as the toilet room is separated from the bath and shower room. Automatic light in toilet room comes on full, even at night time, and automatically stays on for five minutes. But has a door that closes fully.

Great location by the river, most attractions and restaurants within easy walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff - left a gift for me on my birthday. The room was huge, very big bed, tea and coffee making facilities, plenty of space to relax. Great to have the pool to cool off in after a day of sightseeing.

The only downside was that we had a room overlooking the river - giving us a lovely view - but there is a bar opposite that stays open very late, and which can get rather noisy sometimes.

The hotel is in an excellent postion overlooking the river and very central to all the attractions of Ghent. The staff were extremely friendly and the receptionists could not do enough for us to make our short break in Ghent so enjoyable.

On arrival we were not allocated the room we had booked through Booking.com overlooking the river and city. However this was rectified and we were given a lovely room, but at an extra charge. Do not think the room allocation was the fault of the hotel, but by Booking.com.

I booked the Exclusive Double room with river view for three nights in November. The Hotel Harmony is as close to the center of Ghent as you can get, with many nice restaurants, river views and the majestic ambience of the Gravensteen castle located almost next door. The room was quite large, with a beautiful separate bathroom stocked with good linens and products. There was a large armoire for storing your clothes. The wifi was quite fast and reliable. The room is digitally equipped - which is to say you can control all the lights with one master switch - or through the thermostat console. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was excellent and had many vegan/vegetarian options, which I appreciated. I walked from the train station to the Harmony Hotel, about thirty five minutes, which enhanced my perspective of the city, but there are numerous different tram lines nearby. I would stay at the Hotel Harmony again.

The river facing windows were not completely sound proofed so you do hear outside noise. The hotel rooms and hallways are not carpeted, so you also hear some noise from the hotel but neither of these things would keep me from staying here again.

I really liked a lot about this hotel; the location, the view from the room, the room was very spacious, the bathroom had a lot of facilities, everything was very clean, and the main thing that sticks out for me was that the staff were super friendly and really helpful!

I think for one person it is quite expensive, but I knew this in advance of staying at the hotel so this is on me, there were no surprises. However, considering the overall experience, it can be worth the price for sure. Staying with two people is much more affordable.

Really excellent staff, friendly & helpful. A small family run establishment who were so helpful. We arrived early, but they found a parking space for us and whilst we went to explore they stored our luggage and it had been delivered to the room when we returned. Well appointed bedroom with comfortable beds. The Hotel has a car parking which is an absolute necessity as the Hotel is situated in a pedestrian area. A very short walk along the canal to the Castle and City centre, loads of local cafe's restaurants within a short walk. The Hotel has a comfortable guest lounge that provides light snacks & coffee. One of the best breakfasts we have had in the breakfast room overlooking the canal. We would definitely go again if we were to return to Ghent.

Nothing, you can't improve on excellent.
