Location near the Castle of Counts was excellent. There are numerous good restaurants within walking distance. A canal boat stop is nearby. The room and bathroom were large by European standards. Staff was very helpful. Room cleaning was excellent.

Parking within hotel grounds is limited to 8 or 10 cars. The receptionist provides specific directions as to how to access the parking but the hotel parking would still be difficult to find without car navigation. Expensive breakfast. Restaurants near river provide cheaper breakfast options.

Location is absolutely perfect! Close to everything, the Leie, all interesting sites, tram stop. Room was small but fine especially since we weren’t there much. It was clean enough and we didn’t hear other guests even though we had ‘neighbours’. We stayed at the front which meant a good view at Gravensteen!, but we heard some noise every morning rather early: collection of glass by municipality, delivery trucks etc. It wasn’t too bad but if you want to sleep in late make sure to get a room at the back or use earplugs (which are provided for by the hotel by the way). Good shower.

The location is great, directly opposite the Castle of the Counts and a stones throw from great bars and restaurants. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations for food- ask them! The hotel was clean, smart and comfortable and great value for money. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

This hotel is very convenient for the centre of Ghent. It is clean with acceptable facilities for a hotel of this grade. The decor was good, bed was comfortable and it had lift access to all floors. We stayed one night on our way back to the UK but will stay again when we go back to Ghent. For Belgium it is expensive but provides good value considering its location to the city centre. Public underground car parking is €12 and 5 minutes walk away. There is also EV facilities there too.

Nothing much

The hotel is gorgeous! It looks like a palace when you enter! Our room was sparkling clean and well decorated. Windows soundproof keeping the room warm and silent. Beds super comfortable! I wish I have a mattress like that at home. You have tea and coffee with a kettle in the room which is a very nice detail. The breakfast was fab, big variety of delicious bakery, bread, cereal and cheese. The location is perfect, right in front of the castle. You also have a café bar downstairs for guest's. We will come back!

The Room itself was cosy, spacious for 2 people and clean, the Hotel location was very good, right in the middle of all historical and sightseeing places. No breakfast was used in the hotel.

The only thing I did not like was the sound-proofing for the outside noise. The room was located at the street side, and there was a non-stop noisy ambiance all through the night till early morning. Either people screaming at each other, sigaret smokers using the bench below the window to have a smoke and a conversation, or the garbage collections(for bars and business) at the corner. As well as the 6.00am deliveries (trucks running, doors and gates slamming) to the business in the alleys. Basically: don't get a room in the front, if you are a light sleeper.

The hotel is in a great location but if you are arriving by car you will need to register with the city’s low emission zone website as it is in a pedestrian area in the old town. Our room was huge and clean with great bed linen and towels. Breakfast was amazing with a wide range of hot and cold items. Good WiFi too.

The bed was a little soft but that’s my personal preference

Great location in heart of old city and walking distance to attractions. Lot of food options nearby. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. If travelling to Brugge/Brussels then take a tram or Uber to train station. Didn't try breakfast in hotel.

Nothing. Remember that lot of good restaurants in the area need booking. And lot of cafes etc. close early.

Room was perfect for a family of 4. It was 33 degrees when we arrived and the staff offered extra fans. We did take one for the kids room as the adult room had an air con unit. We all slept really well. Parking was available for us to use. If you have a really large car then be aware that it is very tight to get into the parking place. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would stay here again if we visited Ghent again.

Nothing, it was fab!
