Our room on the 4th floor was very large, very comfortable and quiet (which we had asked for and were very happy about!). The bathroom and floors were very clean, and we would have given the hotel 10/10, but one pillowcase had a dirty mark on the front side, which should have been seen by the staff during cleaning. Breakfast was excellent and extremely well organised - lots of fresh, hot food to choose from, empty trays being replaced immediately by the chefs, and great service. The location of the hotel is also perfect, with everything within short walking distance, and in a beautiful old building. We recommend the hotel!

The one pillowcase was dirty, but everything else was good and we were overall very satisfied with the stay, especially with the location, breakfast, and room overall.

The location was perfect. Right in the middle of everything. The bar was very nice with a huge TV screen above it. Staff was great. Drinks were very good. Bar food was good.

The only thing we didn't like was the elevator and lack of stairs. If there are multiple people trying to use the elevator, at different floors, it can take a long time to get on the elevator and then get to your desired floor. This is the elevator furthest from the front desk. When we went to go check out, it literally took about 15 minutes to get on the elevator and then get off. It wouldn't be so bad if there were steps to take. There are steps, but they lead you outside of the building only.

Superbly situated for exploring Ghent on foot (and Ghent is well worth exploring). Very modern and comfortable, very professionally run, highly competent and very helpful staff. Very good and easily accessible parking facilities which aren't that common in hotels in this type of location (be sure to follow the hotel's advice and register your car in advance to legally access the city centre).We had a flat tyre on our day of departure, and the manager could not have been more helpful in getting it sorted for us. Thank you, sir!

Can't fault anything.

Unbelievably amazing location alongside the canal, the canal side rooms are incredible. The staff here were charming and so helpful, finding a shower stall for my mother a wheelchair user. One of the few hotels in Ghent that is suitable for wheelchair users which is why we booked, but I would come here again in a heartbeat with my children. Stunning atrium. Ghent is a fairytale town to visit.

The hotel is located right in the centre of Ghent, perfect for exploring everything. The building is beautiful, with a traditional medieval façade and modern atrium, the glass lifts allow for a spectacular view over the city. The room was a great size, really comfortable and had everything we needed. The best thing were the friendly staff, always available and approachable, ready with advice and solutions whenever needed.

There is nothing I can fault with this hotel. It was a perfect stay and I'd certainly come back another time.

Room was lovely and clean and very big, view not so good but it didn’t matter. Great location and the staff were very friendly.

I don’t like when hotels attach shampoo, conditioner etc onto the wall. It was impossible to put the bath gel into the bath luckily I brought my own. I also wash my hair whilst in the bath and could not reach up to get the ones the hotel offer, buy luckily again I brought my own.

Excellently located, nice big room with superb view over the city center, definitely worth the extra costs for the view. No street-noise in room. Breakfast was tasty and well organized. We enjoyed the car-free city center of Gent, nicely decorated for Christmas, with lots of things to see and do, and shop. We parked our car in Center Parking (10-minute walk) for a very reasonable € 24,- for the weekend. The two parkings closer by the hotel were both full on the Friday evening of our arrival. All in all we had a great weekend, very enjoyable!

No accessible stairways, only emergency, so you have to take the elevator (which is fast so that is not an issue). In-bath showering, this I find a bit cumbersome. Other than that, the room and bathroom were modern and well maintained.

Everything..! To begin with, all the personnel were extremely kind and friendly. And I mean ALL of them. All the guys on the reception, poppy Bar ( specially shlechter? the beautiful dutch lady who was warm and profesional. Luisa, the kind lady of the breakfast (delicious, by the way). We stayed at this hotel like 8 -9 years ago and we came back for lovely Ghent but also for Marriot. Congrats to all the staff. We´ll certainly come back for anothe Ghent-Marriot dose!

Our rooms were canal facing and gave us stunning views all day and night. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was great as was the bar. Special mention for the staff and Pascal in particular, whom kids and adults alike will find adorable.

Absolutely everything. Fantastic, helpful and welcoming staff. We were upgraded to Presidential suite upon arrival. The room was spacious and very comfortable room with a wonderful view on the main canal. We had a dinner at Midtown grill on our first night - the meat dishes were superb coupled with a red wine. Staff made this evening very special as the kitchen was almost closing.
