Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. the food was not really warm, but no complaints whatsoever.. room was comfy and staff were friendly.. and close to the centre, clean room, just great. Great bed, clean shower and , considering the cold outside, a very nice temperature in the room.

The parking fee was not expected. And the parking was on the property of the hotel, so it should be included in the price. €25 euros for one night ( we arrived at 23.00) .. I mean, that wiped the smile off my face, to be honest.

Perfect location, short walking distance to all the best bits of town but far enough to seem very quiet and peaceful, especially as the festival was on whilst we were there, and we weren’t disturbed by noise at all. It’s a stones throw from some very nice cafes, bars and restaurants, so even if you didn’t want to go into the middle of Ghent there’s plenty of places to try. It actually feels very safe and secluded in the hotel and there is a lovely central quite big courtyard type garden area in the middle of the property. Rooms are spotlessly clean with nice light and windows that open onto the garden area. The staff in particular were very sweet and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our only disappointment was that there seemed to be a shortage of coffee when we were there! The room was not topped up with coffee facilities at all and we kept having to ask at reception for coffee pods for our morning cup of coffee, not good!

There was nothing we didn’t like, it was all fine and I would definitely stay in the same hotel again.

Superb location , easy to park , easy friendly check in , superb clean and spacious room with air con and all we needed. Loved the history of the building , a surprise around every corner.

Had to run around to find someone to serve in the bar ...being covered by reception . Breakfast offer not a great choice or layout - particularly for 25 € ...50 given it was two ofus . Just one coffee machine, so had to wait , milk not by cereals , honey not by cereals / pancakes , just scrambled eggs , bacon and pancakes as hot offers ... Indifferent service in breakfast , just felt really wanted us to finish and go . Shame , breakfast spoiled an otherwise excellent experience .

I booked one standard room for me and my fiancee and one more premium double room for my parents. Both rooms are extremely neat and clean, it's an unbelievable standard of cleanness. The premium one is perfect with the air conditioning!

However, there were so many mosquitoes due to the plants, and as my fiancee and I lived in the standard room, there was no air conditioning, and we must open the window due to the heat. But it was impossible to sleep because of mosquitos. Our suggestion is: as a 4-star hotel, even though it cannot install the air conditionner due to the building structure, it should install the anti-mosquito nets on windows. At best, providing fans would be perfect in summer.

The room was spacious, being set over two levels with the beds up a flight of stairs, so not suitable for everyone. It was gret to see that most of the features of the old Monastery had been retained, including the vaulted ceiling and the stained glass windows of the abbey. These sat well alongside the modern touches in each room. The air conditioing was working very well and the beds were super comfortable. The room also had tea nd coffess making facilities, which you don't always get in Europe. The hotel was in an excellent location, just 5 minutes walk from the historic part of Ghent.

Newly renovated rooms, very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the courtyard. The rooms get 10/10. Location is also very convenient. Just a short walk to the heart of Ghent, also 10/10. Staff at the ‘front desk’ where very kind and helpful.

There is no lobby, just a window where you pay, it feels dated and odd. One of our rooms was very noisy as it was close to the stairs and you could hear the stairwell door shutting and people rolling their bags. There is no carpet outside this room. The second room was inside the carpeted hallway and it was very quiet. Breakfast wasn’t well supplied. Many items missing, not worth the €25pp. Showers: hot water isn’t really hot, just warm water. If you are driving be aware the hotel is located on Ghent’s LEZ (the area inside the ring is a low emission zone and cars must register on a website to avoid a €150 fine). The hotel has a sign with information.

It was converted from a former monastery, making it a very cool place with a unique experience. The breakfast options were diverse, and having breakfast inside the old church was a very special atmosphere and environment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and you can store your luggage before check-in and after check-out. The room provided tea bags, coffee, and a refrigerator.

The soundproofing was somewhat poor; you could hear the TV and noises from the neighboring room in the bathroom. However, it didn't affect our sleep, and it might have been because we happened to have relatively quiet neighbors. The air conditioner did not work very well.

Location - short 3 - 5 minute walk from the town centre. There is a great coffee shop near the hotel and easy to drive to. The property is really interesting and a beautiful design. The rooms are large with big windows and comfy beds. Bathrooms are modern in design. Parking is spacious, secure and priced in line with local garages.

We stayed in 1.04 and as it’s an old property, you can hear everything upstairs in the room above. When they walk around, talk, bathe etc. it didn’t help that they were partying until 3am so we struggled to sleep.

The room was very spacious (garden room requested), very cosy and perfectly situated to explore old town Gent! There were enough parking spaces upon arrival and access from reception to rooms was made easy with elevator and stairs. The bathroom was larger than expected and really well finished and we enjoyed a gorgeous hot shower - lovely! We didn't have breakfast but the church set up was really lovely.

Having a door to the bathroom portion would offer more privacy in the garden view room. As for my brother who stayed in a different room, he experienced a cold shower so guess it depends on the room you book perhaps?

It is literally in a monastery. It is such an amazing experience. I never thought I can live in a monastery (renovated of course). The bed is comfortable, the receptionist is friendly (even lend me opener for the beer). Also the location is fine, not too far away to the main tourist site, the walk to the site is also an interesting walk with a chill vibe.

Not too much to hate about. If I really need to be picky, then the entrance is a bit hidden but since there is no nearby hotel it is still fine, you won’t miss it.
