Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. the food was not really warm, but no complaints whatsoever.. room was comfy and staff were friendly.. and close to the centre, clean room, just great. Great bed, clean shower and , considering the cold outside, a very nice temperature in the room.

The parking fee was not expected. And the parking was on the property of the hotel, so it should be included in the price. €25 euros for one night ( we arrived at 23.00) .. I mean, that wiped the smile off my face, to be honest.

Perfect location, short walking distance to all the best bits of town but far enough to seem very quiet and peaceful, especially as the festival was on whilst we were there, and we weren’t disturbed by noise at all. It’s a stones throw from some very nice cafes, bars and restaurants, so even if you didn’t want to go into the middle of Ghent there’s plenty of places to try. It actually feels very safe and secluded in the hotel and there is a lovely central quite big courtyard type garden area in the middle of the property. Rooms are spotlessly clean with nice light and windows that open onto the garden area. The staff in particular were very sweet and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our only disappointment was that there seemed to be a shortage of coffee when we were there! The room was not topped up with coffee facilities at all and we kept having to ask at reception for coffee pods for our morning cup of coffee, not good!

There was nothing we didn’t like, it was all fine and I would definitely stay in the same hotel again.

Newly renovated rooms, very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the courtyard. The rooms get 10/10. Location is also very convenient. Just a short walk to the heart of Ghent, also 10/10. Staff at the ‘front desk’ where very kind and helpful.

There is no lobby, just a window where you pay, it feels dated and odd. One of our rooms was very noisy as it was close to the stairs and you could hear the stairwell door shutting and people rolling their bags. There is no carpet outside this room. The second room was inside the carpeted hallway and it was very quiet. Breakfast wasn’t well supplied. Many items missing, not worth the €25pp. Showers: hot water isn’t really hot, just warm water. If you are driving be aware the hotel is located on Ghent’s LEZ (the area inside the ring is a low emission zone and cars must register on a website to avoid a €150 fine). The hotel has a sign with information.

It was converted from a former monastery, making it a very cool place with a unique experience. The breakfast options were diverse, and having breakfast inside the old church was a very special atmosphere and environment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and you can store your luggage before check-in and after check-out. The room provided tea bags, coffee, and a refrigerator.

The soundproofing was somewhat poor; you could hear the TV and noises from the neighboring room in the bathroom. However, it didn't affect our sleep, and it might have been because we happened to have relatively quiet neighbors. The air conditioner did not work very well.

The room was very spacious (garden room requested), very cosy and perfectly situated to explore old town Gent! There were enough parking spaces upon arrival and access from reception to rooms was made easy with elevator and stairs. The bathroom was larger than expected and really well finished and we enjoyed a gorgeous hot shower - lovely! We didn't have breakfast but the church set up was really lovely.

Having a door to the bathroom portion would offer more privacy in the garden view room. As for my brother who stayed in a different room, he experienced a cold shower so guess it depends on the room you book perhaps?

Exceptionally beautiful building, former monastery, very authentic and majestic. It’s obviously old but rooms are newly renovated. Staff is very friendly and helpful, location is just perfectly close to main attractions.

Stone floor in our room was super cold which is understandable as it’s winter time and ground floor and old building. I would appreciate the slippers though. Probably they could provide it by request but we stayed only for one night so I didn’t ask. Also I personally didn’t like the art of nuns made as a puzzle, where each puzzle is a tiny picture of a woman’s lower body in a panties. I think it’s a little bit too much but that’s my personal opinion.

The hotel has a great location, and we appreciated being allowed to check in early. The staff was friendly, and the hotel had a charming and atmospheric vibe. Additionally, the availability of parking was a nice convenience.

However, there were some cleanliness issues in the room: the windows were dirty, there were greasy fingerprints on the furniture, and we found hair on some surfaces. Another downside was that, despite checkout being at 11 AM, we were not allowed to leave our car in the parking lot for a few additional hours, even though we had paid for a full day. As a result, we had to relocate the car to the city center.

Great Location, easy to get into town but in a nice quiet area of the city. The monastery has been beautifully updated to accommodate the hotel, but still.has kept its charm. The family room was very big with plenty of room for us and all our stuff. The fridge in the room was also very convenient.

Could have used a towel bar or two in the bathroom, but other than that everything was great. Parking is a bit expensive (although you can pull in to drop off/pickup luggage, just ask the front desk for a ticket to get out) but the Ramen parking garage up the street worked out great and saved us 10€ a night

What a privilege to stay in such a beautifully renovated historic building. We could not believe how quiet it was - and how comfortable. Especially grateful for the cool air through the large windows, the garden, and the A/C in our room (as it was a hot few days). The buffet breakfast in the ornate chapel was one of the best ever had, and staff were very happy to provide gluten free options for my friend. We walked everywhere and took a short bus ride to a swimming lake and a tram to the rail station. I cannot describe how impressive this medieval city is - and don’t miss the augmented reality of the famous painting by the Van Eyck brothers in the St Bavo cathedral.

The pillows are the European square type - would have liked other options for comfort levels. But this was a minor detail.

The room was as not as a conventional type room but had taken the previous occupiers use and turned it into a nice period reflection of their use, it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Once you established the hotels whereabouts it was easy to navigate to the centre of the city.The breakfast was excellent and self service. The pictures on the walls show the nuns at recreation. The staff were very helpful, and they will store your bags on check out if you have more visiting to do before you leave.

The heating in the room could have been warmer for my liking but there was no explanation card of how to operate it, there was a little lack of signs for breakfast.
