This is a really lovely B&B in a lush green suburb. Our top floor suite was massive and perfectly appointed with a forensic attention to detail. Anne, the owner, was super-helpful and suggested a couple of terrific local restaurants for dinner which were so much nicer than schlepping into town. Breakfast was delicious - extensive and freshly made. Highly recommended.

Anne was an absolutely incredible host in every way imaginable! I was the only one staying for the night, so she upgraded my suite at no added cost. She provided multiple suggestions for where to get dinner, what to see in the city, the best ways to get around, everything! Her property is absolutely stunning, and you can tell she puts a lot of heart and care into making her place feel like home for her guests. Breakfast the next morning was delicious with plentiful options to choose from! She even made a couple croissants just for me. I wish I had been able to stay more than one night!

Basically everything, from the moment we arrived to the time we left, everything was perfect. Anne, our host was absolutely superb, really nice and friendly with nothing being to much trouble. The apartment was spotlessly clean and was really a home from home, really peacefull and quiet. Breakfast was fantastic with more than enough. Can't recommend this place enough, I have travelled Europe extensively and stayed at many hotels, however this is the best ever.....10/10

Weather, it rained

WOW, this is undoubtedly the best place I have EVER stayed at. Five star + hotels don’t get get a look in here. Anne’s house is truly spectacular, and the room we stayed in bigger than some houses. And everything is so beautifully done and arranged. From the multiple (at least five) different pillow sizes, to the home made muffins (with home made jam from home picked fruit), to the fabulous garden and swimming pool, to…. This place is reason alone to visit Ghent.

we didn’t stay long enough

We had a fabulous time at Au Grenier. Warm and welcolming hosts who offered home made cakes on our arrival. The breakfast was beautiful with lots of choice. A wonderful last night in a magnificent room in the attic.

Anne is a warm and experienced host who provides a clean and spacious room, extra touches we all love when we're travelling and the most incredible, home made breakfast. The price of the room is worth the breakfast alone!

If you are arriving later in the day, as we did (unexpectedly), be aware you are not in a city centre. Supermarkets were closed, and restaurants are a drive away. Very little is within walking distance.

The room in this family home was very large and comfortable. The breakfast in the family kitchen was very good. The premises are in a quiet residential area.

Nothing. The only thing to be aware of is that all restaurants are a short drive or 40 minutes walk away.

Anne is amazing ,we were greeted with such a warm welcome , Anne is a fantastic host. The room was huge and very comfortable,.The area was very peaceful . Anne served a delicious breakfast , of homemade breads , preserves and cheese . We were made to feel very welcome , like old friends meeting up again.

Beautiful and very comfortable suite.... well stocked and with all of the comforts of home, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. The owner Anne is a lovely woman and an incredible cook. She really went above and beyond -- making a special breakfast to accommodate my diet restrictions, offering me a ride when a taxi wasn't available, and sending me home with a cupcake for my daughter. Highly recommended!

The attention to detail was second to none, food was excellent, fresh, and well presented as was the cleanliness of the very spacious room and bathroom, all in a beautiful setting and nice area of Ghent.

We could not think of anything negative to say, every thing was tip top!
