Skindles Guesthouse is perfectly situated and a couple of minutes walk away from Talbot House museum and the town square and the bars/restaurants. There is off street parking which was good and the sat nav took me straight to Skindles. Skindles has a quirky feel too it with a fair bit of history to it which gave it more charm. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable.. I did manage to peek into another room when we arrive again it was spacious and clean.

That a hard one as i truly feel that there was nothing negative about Skindles .. I suppose if you struggle with stairs that maybe an issue but apart from that it's a great place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.. I found it perfect

Location was excellent being close to the central square and many of the restaurants and attractions. Liked the fact that it was an historic building with many original features. Breakfast was self prepared in apartment (self catering). The free coffee in one of the communal areas was good and appreciated.

No bedside light. Bathroom on different floor.

Had previously been a gentleman’s club reflected in the decor. Plenty of room to socialise with other guest should you want to and a large kitchen available to guests . Good central location

You need to be mobile to manage the stairs as they are narrow . We were on the 1st floor

Excellent location 200 mtrs from the town centre. Plenty of parking and great hosts.

There is nothing to dislike.

The most pleasant stay and an all round wonderful experience. The property and room had so much character, was very homely and so spacious! The facilities were brilliant, Chantel and Peter the most welcoming and attentive hosts and very responsive. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Perfect location, and you get to stay in a historic building

great host, great room & facilities, so much extra stuff like a lounge and bar with instruments and a sauna!

The property is charming and full of historical interest.

The location seemed fine, and it had parking. It is a nice property, with original architecture, so quite lovely.

There was noone at the property when we arrived, although we informed the host that we were arriving late. They did not provide us with a code to get into the building and they had not prepared a room for us, so we had to wait until they sent us a code to get in. It was very dark inside, there was noone there, we didn't know where the lights were and had to find our way around. They had not prepared a room for us, and told us to pick any room that had bedsheets on the bed. It was quite chilly in the room and we could not figure out how to turn on the heat. Some instructions left in the room on how to use the appliances would be very helpful for international travellers, as we are not familiar with the appliances/heating devices in Europe.
