Clean, modern hotel in Spa centre with an underground car park and its own funicular ride up to the Thermes. Fitness centre and funicular free to hotel guests, separate charges for Car Park and Thermes (thermesdespa.com). Friendly, helpful Reception staff.

Car Park entry steep with a nasty corner but ok otherwise. €20 for 24 hours, seemed to be the going rate for covered parking in central Spa. There was no electric socket near the kettle and didn't seem to be anywhere safe to use it. We had to use the floor of the wardrobe. Water cartons provided in the fridge said "product of Spain" - coals to Newcastle spring to mind! 😏!

The breakfast was amazing. We stayed in the Superiod Room with city view which was so comfortable and great. Location is awesome, right in the center and have direct access to the Thermes de Spa with a private funicular.

The sauna wasn't hot when I arrived. It was completely open and had a sign that said the button needed to be pressed for at least 15minutes to turn it on. We were not told this by reception.. and by the time we got to the sauna, we had limited time before check out so had to leave.

We stay here every year in November while visiting the Thermes of Spa. We noticed a great change in the hotel since it became a Van der Valk Hotel. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a great atmosphere in the bar/lounge and the decor was lovely. The breakfast was incredible! The staff were lovely and replenished everything very regularly. The choice was amazing. I particularly loved the fresh smoked salmon. We are already looking forward to coming back!

Breakfast was varied and the staff were sympathetic. It was a great advantage to have a direct funicular to the thermal center. If you want to take a walk in nature after breakfast, The Hotel is 5 minutes away from the start of mountain roads. After the walk, you can have dinner in the center and return to your hotel in 2 minutes. The proximity to restaurants and museums creates a vacation atmosphere and comfort.

The water outlet of the bathtub was blocked with a metal. It had to be removed every time for the water to flow down the drain and it was difficult to remove.

Bar is excellent and great service from staff. Also the exclusive access to the Spa is very convenient, specially if weather not that good (mostly the case in Belgium).

Blackout curtains from the room did not completely block the light (upper part), so we had a bit earlier start of the day than we wished.

Our stay was really great! The highlights were the welcoming staff, our room, which was spacious, quiet (despite being next to an elevator) and had a nice view to Spa centre, possibility to go to the Thermes in a bathrobe provided by the hotel, absolutely stunning breakfast.

The pillows are only for people who like to sleep in a sitting position.

Great breakfast selection, lovely staff and close to both the train station and many restaurants. I loved the private funicular to Les Thermes! The interior decor is also gorgeous.

It was difficult to get hold of room service and the front desk from the room. However this is a minor remark!

The hotel is nice, parking garage is available and very affordable since parking infront is always full. Breakfast was good and room was clean.

Breakfast was fairly late at 7am and not a minute sooner. Had a bus at 7.15, didn't manage to eat. :( The entry into parking garage is very narrow, so big cars or SUVs would likely scrape the wall.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location and proximity to the Spa. There was a beautiful scenic trolley ride from the hotel to the spa and restaurants/shopping all in walking distance. Added bonus, Belgian bier is the best in the world and I always enjoy visiting.
